INTRODUCTION
Use of science in the prevention of diseases and improving health of the society by the
combine efforts of the private and public sector organizations can be stated as a public health
(Marmot and Bell, 2012). It is an essential element for government to maintain the physical and
mental standards of the people. Healthy population can support in the development of the nation
so it is essential for each and every nation to make a stronger health and social care services by
which they can ensure their success in the world. NHS is a regulatory body of the health and
social care in UK and they are regulating all of the organization which is working in the sector.
They are having focus to maximize the quality of the health and social care organizations. This
report is discussing on the diseases Diabetes type 2, approaches and strategies for measure
monitor and control on the diabetes. After it, it is containing the details on the sanitary
revolution, John Snow and John Simon Sanitary act 1866, establishment of the NHS 1948, the
black report 1980 and The Acheson Report 1998.

Approaches and strategies to measure, monitor and control diabetes type 2
Before starting on the report it is essential to know about diabetes type 2, in this disease
the pancreas glands has reduce enough quantity of insulin to maintain the glucose and sugar level
(Goldberg and McGee, 2011). Insulin mainly used by the body to convert sugar elements in the
energy to perform daily routine activities. Some of the approaches and strategies are here which
can be used by the NHS also:
To measure: It is essential for the NHS to measure the Diabetes type 2 which can be possible by
the testing of the sugar level in the patients, two approaches are here which can be used by the
organization:
Random Blood Sugar Test
Fasting Blood Sugar Test
Oral Glucose tolerance Test
To monitor: Regular monitoring of the patients supports in the improvements in the health so kit
is essential for the health and social care organizations to monitor regularly by these techniques
which are;
Blood glucose level
Urine testing
