1. Identify the type and name of the award, workplace or enterprise agreement you are
working to. (If you are not working in the hospitality, events or tourism industries, name the
most common industrial agreement / award used by people working in your industry).

2. Briefly describe the following employment modes in terms of working hours, wages, leave
and other entitlements.

Description
Full-time
A full time employee needs to provide 30 hours of service per week and
130 hours of service per month as well.
Regular part-time
They work less than 38 hours in a week and they are provided same
entitlements as provided to full-time employees. However, work hour is
negotiable and it is done between employee and employers.
Casual
They are employed on casual basis and they are paid by hour. Their job
status is not permanent and they are not even provided entitlements that
are provided to full-time and regular part-time employees as well.

Fixed-term contract
Employees re hired to do a particular type of job for a fixed price and
their employment is only provided as specified in contract. It is referred
to as fixed-term contract.
3. Briefly describe how wage budgets are generally determined.
Previous payments provided as wages are analysed for a period of time and those wage
payments are then balanced with reference to forecasting requirements and revenue in project
as well.
4. List two ideas on how operational efficiency can be maximised at your workplace without
increasing wage costs in roster development.
