Business study refers to an academic program that focuses on conducting of business
within local, national and the global marketplace. Business studies encompasses the various
areas of the accounting, marketing along with the economics. The business studies program
are structured in a careful manner that helps in providing educational foundation for that of
business leaders along with the managers (Botha et al., 2016). It can help the students in
understanding the financing of a company and its effect on the revenues along with the
expenditures that can help in increasing its profits. Time management refers to process of the
planning and exercising control of the time on the various activities that can help in
increasing the effectiveness along with the efficiency. Time management is an important skill
for the students of the business and it can help them in learning many subjects within a short
span of time. This essay discusses that time management can make the students efficient that
can aid in the process of their attainment of academic excellence.
The Bachelor of Business degree can provide the students with the flexibility and help
in their professional development that can prepare them for the changing local along with the
global business workforce. The first term of the study can help in developing the foundation
in relation to the business studies that can help in the career advancement of the students. It
can help in offering the real-world experiences that can help in the development of the
intellectual, analytical, personal along with the interpersonal skills (Ferreras-Garcia,
Hernández-Lara & Serradell-López, 2019). The business students in the first year are
entrusted with the task of studying many subjects like Accounting for Decision Making,
Information System for Business, Economic Principles, Business Statistics, Introduction to
Marketing, Business Law, Organisational Behaviour and the Integrated Business challenge
(Vu.edu.au., 2019). The undergraduate students should know how to manage the time that
can help them in being successful in the first term of the study. The students have to
understand the important elements in relation to each area of the study that can help them in

the later years. The students have to understand the concepts in relation to each of the fields
that can help them in grasping the important elements underlying the Bachelor of the
Business course (Lewis & Frkal, 2019)
The subject of “Accounting for Decision making” comprises of the integrated theories
that can help the students in the area of the business administration. It can make the students
acquainted with the decision-making tools that can help them in managing the business. It
can make the students acquainted with models of the organizational structure along with the
managerial functions that is crucial for the running of a company in the present era. It can
make the students acquainted with the decision-making assumptions, nature of accounting
information, decision making in the management accounting along with the management
accounting decision models that are imperative in the present age (Sadgrove, 2016). The
undergraduate students should know to divide the time in the proper manner so that he can
devote equal attention to all the subjects that are in the first term of the study in the Bachelor
of Business course. It is important that the undergraduate students know the basic tenets in
relation to all the subjects that can help them in successfully progressing to the second and
the third years (Polonsky & Waller, 2018). It can rightly help him in learning important
concepts that can help him in handling the managerial duties in the organization at a later
stage.
The subject of “Information System for Business” contains elements of the system
design, data base design along with the web application that can increase the knowledge of
the students pertaining to business. It can help the students in understanding the manner of
operation of a company that can help in the managing of a company. It can help the students
in becoming the business analysts who can come up with the solutions to the problems. The
students would be able to know about the tools that can help them in the examination of
current system of a business (Bell, Bryman & Harley, 2018). The students would be able to

learn about the effective methods for the risk management that can work to the benefit of a
business. The time management would help the students in understanding the basic concepts

manner with the help of the essential skill of the time management that can help in covering
all the subjects in the first term of the study.
The students with the help of the Economic Principles would become acquainted with
the economic tools that can help them in understanding the operation of a business in the
present age. It can help the students in understanding the making of the business decisions
within the framework of the competitive environment. The topics that are covered in this
subject includes the demand and supply, determining of the market equilibrium, cost of the
production and the elasticity of the demand that can help the students in understanding the
integral aspects in relation to the business (Lock, 2017). It also covers the important areas of
the macroeconomics that is essential for the successful running of the business. The students
in the event of having time managing skills would be able to go through each of the topics
that can help him in understanding the various dimensions of the running of a business.
The subject of the Business Statistics in the first term of the study would be able to
help the students understanding science in relation to the good decision making that can help
the business face the turbulent times in a better manner (Kharadze, Gulua & Davit, 2017). It
can play an important role in maximising the profits of the business that can provide the
business with the competitive edge. The students would have to learn about applied statistics,
econometrics along with the production system of the goods that can come of use in the role
of the manager (Siegel & Wright, 2015). It would include the business mathematics along
with the economic statistics that are imperative in the running of the business in the present

students in the event of being endowed with the ability of managing the time would be able to
spend the right amount of time in each of the areas that can help him in the conducting of a
business (McMurray et al., 2016). The undergraduate student would have to know about
marketing that would help him in driving the profitability of the business. The marketing is
an important attribute of business in the present age and a business manager should be adept
in the field of the marketing that can aid in the process of successful running of a business.
The subject, “Business Law” would help the students in gathering knowledge about
the principles of the management, financial management, organizational behaviour, business
environment that has an effect on the conducting of the business in the modern age. The
understanding of the Labour Law along with the Tax Law would help the business in rising
above the barriers that can have a detrimental effect on its profitability. It is important that the
managers understand these elements that can help him in attaining success in the business.
The subject covers various areas and the undergraduate student should possess the skill of the
time management that can provide him with abundant time for going over all the areas in
relation to this subject (Oladunjoye, 2018). Time management would be able to help the
undergraduate student in focussing on the important areas that can help him in achieving
academic excellence. It would be able to help him in getting the high markets that can set the
stage for a successful profession. It can help him in learning about discipline that can help
him in evolving as an efficient student.
