TITLE:SMARTPRACTICTOINCREASEMOTIVATIONAMONG EMPLOYEES INTRODUCTION Smart practices can be defined as practices that increases interest and motivate employees for performing functions and accomplishing goals (Akmal and Azliyanti, 2019). This study will discuss different effective practices such as: improving team culture, implementation of software and technologies and others. Further, it will discuss benefits of smart practices and motivated employees for business performance. Aims & objectives of the research Aim: Aim of this study is “To identify the best smart practice for motivating employees and improving their performance” Study on Unilever Objectives To discuss the main concept of smart practice. To identify relation between smart practices and employees’ motivation. To discuss effective smart practices in order to motivate employees for accomplishing goals. To recommend the best smart practice for motivating employees. Research Questions 1. What does smart practice refer? 2. How can smart practices can increase motivation among employees? 3. What smart practices are available to increase motivation among employees? 4. Which smart practice should be adopted by Unilever for motivating employees?
LITERATURE REVIEW Theme: 1 Concept of smart practice According to theSumiati and Prasetyo, (2022) smart practices by which employees’ performance and motivation can be measured. There are some practices and factors that can motivate people and employees towards striving hard such as: implementation of technology, team working, bonus, incentives and all these can be defined as smart practices. Theme – 2 Relationship between smart practices and employees’ motivation As per the view ofAlam, Alias and Hassan, (2019) smart practices play a vital role in motivating employees. Smart practices are being used as per the needs of employees. For example: bonus, incentives and digital workplace are smart practices and they can motivate employees for retaining with business for the long run. So, on this basis, it can be said that there is a relationship between motivation and smart practices. Theme: 3 Smart practices that can increase motivation among employees According to theKumari, Barkat Ali and Abbas, (2021) rewards and implementation of advanced technology is one of the best smart practice by which employees can be motivated towards accomplishing goals and it can improve their performance as well. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY Research strategy:Research strategy refers a form in which data are being gathered. Qualitative and quantitative are 2 main research strategies and for this study, qualitative research will be conducted (Johnson, Adkins and Chauvin, 2020). The reason of selecting this study is to gather in-depth information intheoretical form. Research approach:It is a plan with steps of data collection and analysis. For this research study of knowing the best smart practice for motivating employees, inductive approach will be used as per its association with qualitative research. Researchphilosophy:Itrefersbeliefregardingwaysofcollectingandanalyzingdata. Interpretivism and positivism are two philosophies and for this study, Interpretivism will be selected in order to collect information in an accurate manner.
