The main aim of this report is to determine the impact of smart practices of motivation on employees' productivity. Motivation and productivity are interconnected terms which is used by most of the researcher as a subject. Motivation are of two types that is intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. These both techniques are used by organisation in order to motivate them towards organisational goals. On the other hand, productivity is one of the aspect which is used in an organisation. It can be described as optimum utilisation of resources to enhanced productivity of an organisation or employees. There are various practices of motivation such as training and development, rewards and recognition, growth opportunities and employee engagement etc. which are used by firm to enhance and retain employees for long time. These motivation smart practices develop employees potential and results in enhancement of organisation profits. The chosen organisation is Marks and Spencer group plc. Company was founded in the year 1884 by Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer. Currently it is serving more than 1,470 locations globally (Marks & spencer, 2021). It deals in variety of products like clothing, food products and home products etc. Present report is based on motivation practise used in Marks and Spencer. This report includes research aims and objectives and questions. The literature review is mentioned and further, research methodology is usedforcollectingdataandinformationthroughvarioussourcesisdiscussed.Further, conclusion is made for getting potential outcomes. Problem statement Motivation is the important factor of an organisation. Because it helps in impacting positive way to the employees. Motivation results in enhancing employee’s productivity as well. But sometimes, managers are so busy that they could not be able to conduct motivation practice at their working environment. So this creates demotivation and results in leaving employees from organisation. Motivation is very efficient in an organisation becauseit helps in development of an employee's productivity and results in achievement of organisational objectives and aims. There can be some of the importance of motivation within an organisation. One of the main importance is that it increases productivity of an organisation and employees both- it is seen that when employees are fully motivated then they work with full potential and perform better as compared to other employees who are not motivated. So, this results in enhancement of productivity of employees and organisation both. So, motivated employees take proper utilisation of production factors and make optimum utilisation of resources. So, this may result in increasing productivity and profitability of an organisation. Next importance is organisational goal and mission- as organisation money, infrastructure and machine cannot be used effectively until and unless a motivated employee cannot work effectively. Further, engagement of employees resulting in encouragement of employees in decision making process and they get more motivated towards the performance of work. When manager is providing rewards and recognition then this helps in getting motivated and results in retention for long time. In this present study, researcher is making use of Positivism philosophy which helps in collect data through tables and graphs. Further, this brings overall details and accurate informationabout a particular task. Research approach Research approach refers to the procedure of collecting accurate information about a particular topic. This is a next layer of research onion framework. This consist of two types. These are Deductive andinductive approach. In this given report, researcher is using deductive approach to collect information. This brings quantitative information about a given topic and results in collecting data through tables and graphs which brings reliable information. Research method There are two types of research method which helps in collecting information. These two methods are quantitative and qualitative research method. Quantitative research method is collected through tables and charts. On the other hand, qualitative research is collected through books and journals. Population sampling Sampling is selection of some of the samples from large number of population. Sampling consist of two types (Rajan, 2021). These are probabilistic sampling and non- probabilistic sampling. In this particular study, probabilistic sampling is used because it makes use of random sampling which helps in selecting sample from large number of population. This allows equal chance to every respondent to be selecting in a sample. Random sampling does not results in being biased with respondents. In this research, researcher is selecting 30 respondents who are the employees of Marks and Spencer and they are to be filled a questionnaire. Data collection Data is collected through two sources. These are primary and secondary source of data collection method. Primary data collects practical information which uses tables and graphs. Then on the next hand, secondary data collects theoretical information about a specific topic. In this given research, researcher is using both of the data collection method (Al Shraah, Abu- Rumman, and AlJboor, 2021). As primary data is collected through questionnaire survey which includes close and open ended questions. This is to be filled by respondents who are the employees of Marks and Spencer. It will include tables and charts. On the next hand, secondary data is collected through books and journals which is presented in the form of literature review. This brings in depth information about a topic of motivation smart practises. Data analysis This present study is mainly focuses on quantitative data and findings. So, data can be analysed in this research by using frequency distribution analysis. This analysis helps in analysing information effectively and getting reliable information. Further, researcher is using inferential statistics in order to analyse the data and information. And they are using Microsoft excel software in order to made graphs and charts. Ethical consideration The ethical issues which could be faced by researcher is lack of interest of respondents in giving information about their organisation (AlMazrouei, 2021). Then information which is kept should be confidential and cannot be revealed to any third party.
