Introduction
The term network security is defined as the practice of protecting
data and computing networks from unauthorized servers. Most of the
companies are using computing networks and devices for managing
organizational processes in which network security helps to manage
unwanted signals from the systems and helps to enhance the privacy of
data. Currently, the uses of information technologies are enhancing quickly
that also helps criminals to perform malware activities in the business
(Ahmad, et al., 2015). The current status of network security-enhanced the
level of hacking and cyber-crimes in companies. The objective of the paper
is to determine the current status of network security and review the
security issues faced by the companies. In this research, a literature search
will be involved in reviewing the findings and outcomes of recent papers
based on network security.
Status of network security
A network security a kind of activity that is developed to protect the
usability and integrity of networks in the companies. It is capable to manage
and address the unwanted signals and fraud networks from the servers and
enhance the privacy of data in a reliable manner. Between 2016 and 2018,
around 56% of the companies were suffered from the cyber-attacks and
threats where the criminals transferred malware signals and blocked
communication networks (Chasaki, & Mansour, 2015). In this generation,
most of the business communities are using IT technologies and wireless
networks for managing organizational performance and completing tasks
easily. It is true that the utilization of computing networks can help in the
enhancement of business processes but also lead security threats in the
companies by which criminals can easily access private data.

In the past years, the rate of network security has enhanced by 48%
due to their capability to identify the unwanted signals from the computing
networks and enhance the privacy of data in an effective manner. Dabbagh,
et al., (2015) reported that the current status of network security is limited
as the companies are not capable to protect data against cybercrimes and
use unauthorized networks by which they can lose the privacy of networks.
In recent years, criminals developed and implemented various cyber-attacks
due to which the level of network security has been decreased. However,
currently, many companies are moving towards encryption-based networks
where managers can reduce privacy concerns and enhance the level of
security. Fire, Goldschmidt, & Elovici, (2014) examined that securing data
in companies is a serious issue that needs to be enhanced and in this
generation network security requires effective strategies in order to
enhance the privacy of information. Currently, companies use simple
password-based systems for protecting data but it is not sufficient to handle
cybercrimes due to which the level of cyber-attack is growing day by day.
