Abstract
IoT refers to the internet of things that has the capability to enhance
data communication and provide reliable services to companies. Security is
a major concern linked with the IoT that influence the private details of the
customers. In this generation, most of the companies use IoT enabled
devices for enhancing business performance but it also increases the rate of
cyber-crimes and attacks in the business communities. This paper focuses
on the security concerns connected to the IoT and highlights various risk
factors that enhance the level of a data breach in the workplace. The
conducted literature review evaluates the key findings of the previous
articles and reviews the security concerns regarding IoT devices. It is found
that unauthorized access and lack of proper connection both are major
problems related to the IoT networks that increase the hacking and data
breach issues. Malware and denial of service both are major attacks happen
in the IoT devices and many employees are not aware of such attacks.
Therefore, it is proposed that businesses need to deliver complete training
to the employees and implement effective security policies for addressing
the security concerns in IoT devices.

Introductions
Internet of things is an advanced information technology that has the
capability to improve the presentation of data communication and connect
human things with computing devices and servers. The uses of IoT based
networks are enhancing day by day and many companies are adopting IoT
networks for reducing complexity and enhancing organizational
performance. Security and privacy both are major risks with the IoT
networks as it involves internet servers that help criminals to transfer the
unwanted signals and perform data breach (Mahmoud, Yousuf, Aloul, &
Zualkernan, 2015). It is true that consuming the IoT networks, companies
may face security and privacy risks and loss of private data. The purpose of
the report is to examine the security risks and threats related with the IoT.
There are different types of safety threats that occur in the IoT
including malware, ransomware, phishing; denial of service and many more
which will be discussed in this investigation (Yang, Wu, Yin, Li, & Zhao,
2017). The major position regarding the topic is to find the key points
related to IoT networks and evaluate security risks that occur in the IoT
devices. The expected format of this report includes an introduction, the
main body that contains information about the research topic and
conclusion. For addressing the developed research question this report will
conduct a literature review that will provide the depth information and
evaluate the findings of the recent articles. Moreover, the effective data and
information will be gathered from previous studies and online websites.
Research question
The major research question of this task is “Security and Privacy are
the principals of society most at risk with the internet of things? Do you
agree?”
