Stewardship studies the responsibilities that are taken by companies to understand and
manage the environment. Applying stewardship to companies provides the advantage that gives
the lasting effects of the company which can be discovered under this model; the company can
maintain its reputation among consumers and save money (Block, 1996). The main objective of
this model is to complete decision making and to prepare a plan for the strategic design of the
organization. The following essay will discuss the model of stewardship presented and described
by Peter Block (1993). The essay will describe the key elements of the stewardship model and
analyze the strengths and weaknesses of this model with the help of SWOT analysis.
Stewardship is assumed as an ethic if seen in broadways. It is concerned with the
planning and management of resources. Stewardship can be considered as inclusive in any
management as its environment and nature, property, economics, information and many more. In
addition to all this, Block's stewardship is offered and accepted. According to Block, stewardship
is a model whose responsibility is fixed and urged to act according to that capacity. Block
believes that stewardship can be defined in two ways - the first is that Block believes "to serve
his tasks for a long time" and the second is to "work with those who have little power and to
serve them" (Ellis & G. , 2012).
Block accepts these choices "deciphers with making responsible and/or committed
working environments without taking after developing procedures and controlled techniques."

element of the stewardship is financial accountability and conclusions. In this element, block
described that organizations have to work hard to achieve the objectives. The manager has the
right to set objectives and goals for the organization. The third key element of this contract is
constraints and structure. This element involves the basic structure of organization that fits the
environment, mission, and task of the organization. The fourth key element of stewardship is
basic strategies of governance which include clear stance to support the empowerment and
