EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Strategic human resource management is the essential approach so that they have tomanage the human resources so that the company have to attain the success in the competitivemarket. They have to follow the different strategies and policies so that they can attain the goalsand targets. They have to make the right decisions so that they can attain the success. Sainsbusyhave to provide the incentives or rewards so that employees can do the best work and companycan attain the leading position. Along with this employees can improve the performance so thatthey can achieve the targets (Mondy and Martocchio, 2016). They have to use the innovative andnew technology so that they can increase the satisfaction level of the consumers. The employeeshave to do the proper communication among the employees so that they can attain the targets andalso goals and objectives which are pre decided by the higher authorities of Sainsbury. Thecompany have to manage the human resource which will help in reducing the cost and have to doproper promotion so that they can attain the maximum profit. Company has to provide the bestquality product and services by that entity can increase the sales and consumers can increase thesatisfaction level. INTRODUCTIONStrategic human resource management is the important approach which helps inmanaging the human resources that support the goals of long term business and attain theoutcomes with having the framework of strategies. The company members have to focus on thelong term resource so that they can attain the long term goals such as reward or performance andalso they determine the business strategy. The present report is based on Sainsbury which is alargest chain of supermarket (Mondy and Martocchio, 2016). Goal of the company is to makeconsumers lives easier, offering best quality and service at fair prices that serve the consumerswhenever and wherever they want. This assignment contains the challenges and issues inmanagement of work, review and analyse of human resource management model and alsoevaluate the strategic approach so that they can manage the people has to be discussed. They have to adopt the business strategies andobjectives that is for both short and long term so that they human resource will be needed thathave to assigned the job responsibilities (Berman and et.al., 2015). They have to make the rightdecisions on the design, selection, retention, training and development, performancemanagement and rewards in Sainsbury. The company members has to use the new andinnovative technology so that they can attain the high performance in the competitive market. Inthe entity, they have to do the proper communication between the employees so that they can dothe proper changes. Main challenges are :-Attracting, motivating and retaining job performers – The company members have to followthe strategies and policies in the favour of the employees. Along with this the workers have to dothe proper work with the proper skills and knowledge. The higher authorities of Sainsbury has tomanage the cost so that they can not face any problem and also attain the success. Those personof the entity who give the high performance they are in demand (Mathis and et.al., 2016).However, employers have to focus on improving the performance at the expense of developingand motivating the employees. The employer have to align the management of the performanceso that they attain the business goals so that they can ensure the rewards with the different typeof behaviour so that they can achieve the success of organization in the market. The members ofSainsbury has to attract, motivate and retain the different kind of person so that they have tomake the difference in the organisation. They have to implement the d8ifferent policies or thestrategies so that they can improve the management of the performance that helps the higherauthorities and employees so that they can attain the goals and objectives and also encourage theemployees to do the better work. Along with this they have to take the continuous feedback fromthe employees. The company members have to identify the employees so that they can contributethe high values and also determine the person so who gives the motivation and also develop thegoals (Karadjova-Stoev and Mujtaba, 2016). The higher authorities of Sainsbury have to developthe reward and recognition system so that they provide the specific and customized the rewardsto the employees. Technology – The company members have to do the work with the new technology becauseconsumer wants the new and innovative products and services which helps in attaining thesuccess and targets.
