Lack of leadership: Another aspect that can be considered as a significant reason behind thefailure of the information system is the lack of support of the authorities or of the topmanagement. A smooth and friendly environment will be developed if the leaders in the firm areproviding support to the planning team and this support should be in all the terms at all levels.And hence the leaders are considered to have a vital role in the process of strategic planning(Eden, Sedera, and Tan, 2014). The leaders are held liable for each and every decision andhence play a crucial role in the process of strategic planning. The leaders are expected to bepresent and involved at the right time with the right people, this will make their process ofdecision making more effective and efficient. The team members that are engaged in the processof strategic planning are also known as strategic thinkers. There are some of the integralcomponents that provide guidance to the process of strategic thinking. Vision, mission, andvalues the best examples of these guides that aid the strategic thinkers with a track for attaininggoals. The resultant alignment and strategic thinking of the actions can play a role of a perfectantidote and that too with a clear vision of future. This will lead the business firm to have a set ofpredictable environmental changes that will be aiding the business firm in depression the detailsof strategic plans.
