1. Organisational overview
Develop an organisational overview that:
a. outlines the strategic direction and organisational objectives
Houzit strategic direction is focused on making and providing its customers
homeware products that caters to customer needs and are environmental friendly.
The organisational objectives focuses on providing quality products that matches
customer needs and demands in the market.
b. outlines the current size, capabilities and resources of the organisation,
including any notable strengths and weaknesses
The current size, capabilities and resources of the organisation includes capability
to cater to entire Brisbane area. Its key strength includes ability in offering a wide
range of home-ware products on easy payment terms. Strengths also includes
quality unique items with excellent staffs in the company. There is tremendous
loyalty of customers with great retail space. Weaknesses includes limitation in
marketing budget in developing brand awareness.
c. identifies any gaps between the objectives, and the current capabilities
and resources.
The company needs to develop products in an environmentally friendly manner. Its
resources and current capabilities are not matched to providing customers
environmentally friendly products.
2. Opportunities
a. Explore and list possible marketing opportunities, outline common marketing
strategies and marketing approaches and Identify two marketing opportunities
that meet the objectives and evaluate the risks and benefits of each
opportunity.
The possible marketing opportunities is to target high growth area and increase
sales opportunities outside the targeted area in greater Brisbane region. These
opportunities in marketing will be able to generate greater revenue earning for the
company and also generate greater sales. It will generate retail space for the
