INTRODUCTION
The state of body and mind in which extreme pressure is being felt is called stress. It is
the reaction of the body that resulted in an outburst of emotions and a disturbed mental state. The
reason for stress in our daily life could be an unpleasant incident, illness, loss of job, family
issues, etc. The art of managing or lessening stress by various methods is called stress
management (Buizza, Ciavarra, and Ghilardi, 2020). It is basically how to train the body and
mind in avoiding stress and to ignore the causes of stress. This report contains the technoques
that can be used by an individual to manage their staff in effective manner. It also contains the
unhealthy habits that are adapted by individuals to copeup with their stress and the health habbits
they should adopt to manage the level of stress.
Techniques used for stress management:
There are different ways by which stress can be reduced. In this process, it is important to note 4
A’s of stress management which is:-
Avoid- Avoid the cause of stress.
Alter- Alter the unpleasant situation.
Adapt- To adapt to the situation and adjust accordingly.
Accept- To accept the situation and mold according to that.
By following all these four things stress can be controlled partially and gradually can be treated.
Unhealthy methods of coping with stress and its effects:-
There are many ways by which someone can be stressed and depressed in life. The people who
get easily stressed could have these habits such as drinking alcohol, smoking, irregular food
habit, consumption of drugs, oversleeping, etc.
Consumption of alcohol: This is the most common unhealthy habit spreading in today’s society.
It may have serious repercussions in anyone’s life. The person who consumes alcohol may suffer
from a loss of thinking ability as well as social formalities. Its long-term effect can be diagnosed
as serious health problems such as high blood pressure, long term stress which can turn into
serious depression, critical heart disease, and liver problems as well.

as the urge to smoke turns a person mad. As well they have to deal with serious health issues like
lungs and mouth cancer, schizophrenia, etc.
Oversleeping: To be healthy we should take adequate sleep. But what if a person sleeps more
than a normal man yes it’s an alarming situation if such habit is inculcating in any person.
Oversleeping is found to be a major cause of stress. Due to stress, a person’s brain starts thinking
all negative thoughts which resulted in an unstable mindset and tiredness because of which
stressed people sleeps more than required. One more study has been done that there are no fix
hours of sleeping. Oversleeping tend to have ill effects such as obesity, restlessness, unstable
mindset, irregular routine etc. Although this habit is not happens to be dangerous as compared to
early two habits but still it has major long-term effects like obesity, congestion of thoughts, and
irregular eating habits.

Stress can be handled and resolved in people’s life by adaptation to small life changes. This
traumatic state of mind affects the body and the brain of sufferers (Sharma, 2021). Although it’s
very difficult to deal with such people and conditions with discipline and time stress can be taken
out of lives.
a) Avoid drugs and alcohol- To maintain a healthy life it is very important to avoid heavy
consumption of drugs and alcohol. These drinks are harmful to the body and defuse the
brain. So for the healing process of patients, it’s necessary to make them comfortable and
spend time with them.
b) Connect with people- It is very important to communicate with stressed people. Through
conversation, the patient can open up the problems and the issues can be taken care of
and resolved. The only thing needed in this healing process is a positive approach
towards everything.
c) Regular exercise habit- Exercise is very important for the smooth functioning of the body
and mind. It helps to maintain a healthy life with a good routine. Exercise balances the
