INTRODUCTION
Social care is a working plan that used to build values for individual person who
experience their personal needs and special want. Social care is very different from social work
because it is used to build opportunities through social and emotional needs of individual person.
This project report is based on High Gate Care home which is working as a health care sector in
society (Knott and Scragg, 2016). This report will discussing about roles of non-direct care
workers, required skills for this work and role of non direct workers in the operation of team. At
last this report will representing maintaining safety, health and security in caring environment
and management and supervision in the development of non direct workers.
TASK 1
P1 Identify roles of non direct care employees
Non direct workers are indirect employees who provides specific services for caring
people. They mainly serve appropriate services in some organisations with their particular job.
Their role and function in services organisation is to carry out their goals and objectives in
appropriate manner. Role and responsibility of non-direct workers are not clearly determine in
social care sector but they play most important role to provides effective services easily. There
are different kind of roles are determine below that represent specific determination such as -
Office staff – They are kind of personality who do not appointed to provide specific and
direct services that related to organisation's core objectives. Their role and importance are very
must in organisation but they do not working in direct objectives. They are kind of supporter for
recruit employees.
Security staff – They are additionally recruited as non direct workers who provides
security services for building healthy and safety in specific place. They are working different
kind of working duration that requires to build safety and security easily. Their role in this work
is very vast that provide social care facility to every one (Shardlow, 2015).
Catering staff – Their role at working place is very special which provides catering
worker to specific requires. They work to provide quality food and build cleanness ate their work
place specifically.

Laundry/cleaning staff – They are individual person who works to clean cloths, washing and
neat lounge to build cleanliness. They provides appropriate satisfaction to their customers
according to requirement level.
P2 Outline the interpersonal skills required for non direct care workers
For non-direct personalities it is required to build their skills and values according to
specific requirement. They are requires appropriate skill and working approach to provide
quality services easily. There ate some additional skills re given below that requires for a non-
direct person as -
Verbal communication skills – It is required skill for non-direct individual who are working in
department. This is use to build values in their interaction with another ones. This is used to
build values and appropriate communication with each other to fluently convey quality
information easily (Cameron, 2014).
 Listening skills – This is specific values that play a important to understand thoughts and
ideas of each other. These kind of skills are require to build decision making approach for
different type of person. It is important for non-direct workers to build values of each
other to enhance their verbal communication skill.
 Speaking skills – This skill of a individual is requires to create verbal communication
and interact with each other. It represent quality services with contradictory season with
every one.
Non verbal communication skills – It is very different to verbal communication in which
individuals build interaction with other through their gesture, posture, body language, dressing
sense and their own expressions. These kind of communication are needs to analyse or examine
because this is not use to communicate on verbal form.

P3 Explain role of non direct workers in the operation of team
Non direct workers are play most important role in a organisation. Same as they are
working in High Gate Care home where they provides specific social services to each and every
person. Their role and responsibilities are very different to other employees as -

Managers – They are higher authorities of a organisation who works to build values for
firm's objectives and future target. They are individual person who build values and manage
business activities in effective manner. These kind of person are used to make effective strategy
and planning to their employees and for other workers.
Supervision – They are specific personalities who build control and monitoring process
in organisation through their supervision. For them it is very important to understand values of
each individual in firm. Through them company can easily make positive working environment
and valuation to attain business goals easily (Jones, 2014).
Health and care workers – They are most important aspect of society who build values
for social care works. They are specifically build values of individual's health and safety issues
that can impact on their personal and professional lifestyle. Health and social care is very
important in a society to improve people' s standard of living.
Volunteers – Role of these individual's are to provide specific values ion society and
build health care terms easily. They are work to maintain social health in society and provides
their effective services.
TASK 3
P4 Role of non direct workers in maintaining safety, health and security
It is essential requirement for a firm to maintain health and safety in environment for
different services users. There are different role are order to perform for maintain health and
security such as -
 Follow hand hygiene process – Main objective of non direct workers are to provide
specific services to their customers that build values of their health and security as well. It
is just a general approach in which care taker needs to provided specific information
about hand hygiene that needs to be clean before eating.
 Maintain high level of cleanliness – This is responsibility of non direct workers is to
maintain appropriate cleanliness to build positive environment easily (Kadushin, 2014).
Maintain safety in caring environment:
 Safe storage and disposal of waste products - Non direct workers needs to spread
information about safe storage and disposal of waste product. Through this they can
easily builds specific awareness effectively.

Maintain security in the caring environment:
 Ensure unsecure area should out of bounds – It is responsibility of care workers to
keep maintain all working areas effectively and provide information of this to each and
every person. These areas needs to be bound or informative to each and every individual.
P5 Importance of management and supervision in the development of non direct workers
Management and supervision is a specific department of organisation who works to build
values in a their working place. There are some importance of them are given below that used to
develop values of non direct workers as -
Provide training – This is a specific objective that used to build values and enhance
interpersonal skills of individual workers. In this process they are analyse their workers skill and
Working approach and provide specific training to develop their values easily.
Develop relationship - Management and supervision is appropriate division who works
to provides effective services to their employees. Through this they can easily build strong
relation with employees to attain future objectives easily (Lloyd, 2014).
CONCLUSION
As per this above report it has been summarised that each and every worker of a
organisation needs to provide their working services in effective manner. Through this they can
easily build values of services and their contributory part in social care sectors. These things
provides effective social services to people and in society as well.
