INTRODUCTIONToday, the industry of travel and tourism has become world's largest industries. Thisindustry has been growing on a very high level. The Sustainable tourism developmentassignment for Malaysia has been provided here to study various aspects connected with theplanning for a sustainable tourism development regarding Malaysia. Not only the industry hasbeen showing humongous growth but also it is inviting the new and innovative ideas for thesector of tourism. This paper is based on the case study of Malaysia. It will cover the factorswhich will benefit to stakeholders, significance of the interactive planning etc.Task 11.1 Identify and discuss how different stakeholders would benefit from tourism developmentplanning with reference to the chosen country (P1.1).Since the Travel and Tourism Industry is very large, hence there will be many stakeholders inthis industry. Stakeholders are the ones who are either directly or indirectly connected to theindustry (Cheng and et. al. 2017). In this scenario, the main stakeholders which are connected toMalaysian Tourism Industry are given below:Local people :- there are so many local people in Malaysia who are getting paid by tourismindustry by giving their services. As the culture of Malaysia is very rich, therefore, the localpeople make them more interesting by arrange them properly for the tourists. These people areworking in this sector as local guide, or servants in the hotels. This way they are gettingemployment and wealth by the growth of tourism industry in their country (Sher, Bagul and Din,2015).Government:- The government of Malaysia regulates the laws and rules to Malaysian tourism tomake them work in a proper order. Among which the TDC of Malaysia is an importantdepartment. It has applied Tour Promotion Brand Act to promote the tourism industry and toattract more foreign tourists to the country. By this, the government is getting more revenues andprofits from this industry and these profits are further being used to develop the country.Tourists:- tourists have come for different purposes to visit Malaysia. Some of them arestudents, some are visiting for just having fun and some people come here to meet family. Sothey are also getting the benefits from the developing tourism sector. Because, they get goodservices, easy procedures for visa in Malaysia etc. Hence by increasing number of tourists,Malaysian tourism will get more revenues and good economic growth (unakov and et. al. 2015).1

1.2 Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of public-private sector partnerships in tourismplanning and development at the chosen destination (P1.2).The partnerships of public and private sector tourism in Malaysia are getting many advantagesand disadvantages. Some of them are:AdvantageThe main objective of the partnership of private and public sectors is to develop cooperationbetween them and resolve the issues regarding the growth of tourism sector. The government ofMalaysia has given the charge of some heritage sites in the hands of private organisationsbecause the government alone is not able to look after hundreds of the heritage sites. By this,these sites will get proper care by private organisations (Amir, Ghapar, Jamal and Ahmad 2015).The infrastructure also gets developed by this collaboration by government funding to privatesectors. This led to increase more tourists in Malaysia.DisadvantageThe disadvantage of this partnership is that whenever the country face any economic crises orunstable political condition, it will damage the coordination between public and private sectors,which will be harmful for the growth of Malaysian tourism industry.Task 22.1 Key steps of the planning process of tourism developmentThere are various steps of planning process of thee tourism development. It includes goalsetting, development of new strategies etc. it is an activity which is multidimensional. By properplanning of the development of tourism sector, the industry gets good growth in all aspects suchas political, legal, economical etc. The analysis of its features at various levels are given below:At International level:- At this level, more than one nation engages with one another.Malaysian tourism gives worldwide transportation, it also mutually promotes its tourism,collaborates with the nations which are broadly associated with tourism industry which givesbenefits to the tourists to travel within countries without any difficulty (Poudel, Nyaupane andBudruk, 2016) .National level:- it includes transportation within Malaysia, gives guidelines for sight seeing tothe tourists along with major attractions of the country and national level services. Which givestourists a comfortable visit within the country and also provides safety to them. This will giveextra hike to the travel industry of Malaysia (Saufi, O'Brien and Wilkins, 2014).2
