1SYSTOLIC HEART DISEASE Q2. Discuss two high priority nursing strategies to manage Mrs. Brown and provide evidence-based rationales for these strategies. (400) People who were diagnosed with acute heart illness usually experience shortness of breath, high blood pressure, high heartbeat and pulse rate and pain in the body because of the problems. Treatment delivered by the nursing staff members helps in the improvement of the condition of systolic heart illness, and also aids in diminishing of the hospital readmissions and decreases the period of hospital stay. Generally people experience heart issues because of coronary artery disease. Danger of the heart illness can be decreased by the provision of proper medications and providing cure in a timely manner. After the diagnosis of Mrs. Brown she was found with systolic heart illness and related signs and indications like uneven pace of respiration, shortness of breath, dyspnea, and many more. 1stNursing Strategy The initial strategy of nursing should be aimed at reducing the issues related with respiration and breathing of Mrs. Brown. An irregular alteration of respiratory rate is the initial vital indication of patient worsening condition. The irregularity in respiration effects in shortness of breath thus it is crucial to deliver suitable amount of oxygen to Mrs. Brown. When a person experiences acute respiratory failure, the nursing members can cure the respiratory issues by delivering extra amount of oxygen, oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and oxygen saturation monitoring to the patient. The nursing care strategy has a significant effect on enhancing the efficacy of the patients’ breathing, air circulation and promoting the chances of recovery. The oxygenation condition should be monitored daily to evaluate the alterations in respiration status. Daily usage of incentive spirometer effectively will help in increasing the diffusion and alveolar surface area
2SYSTOLIC HEART DISEASE and will also aid in preventing atelectasis. The nurse and clinicians should also monitor the food consumption status of the patient as undernourishment can damage the role of respiratory muscles,decreaseventilatordrive,andreducethelung’sdefense(Fournier,2014).By implementing this intervention, there will be great improvement in specially three cases which are the respiratory rate, SpO2 percentage, and the shortness of breath will enhance significantly. 2ndNursing Strategy Bilateral basal crackles or Bibasilar crackles are uneven noises from the extremity of the lungs. The noises show that something is interfering with airflow. The symptoms that can be seen with the crackling sound are trouble in breathing, coughing, fever, fatigue, and swelling in the lower legs. Treatment of the bilateral basal crackles will depend on the cause of the bilateral basal crackles. The crackling sound may fade away after the treatment if the cause of the crackle is an acute disease; however, if the problem is chronic, then the crackling sound may continue. A doctor may refer diuretics if the patient has heart failure. However, if the patient is having shortness of breath, then a nurse can give the patient oxygen therapy to make the breathing more comfortable. Sometimes crackles occur due to chronic lung disease. By amending the lifestyle, like stopping smoking, or using masks where there is a lot of air pollution, may help to cure the primary situations and inhibit long term difficulties (Murrell & Pietro, 2018).
