The various tools that can be used to identify training and development needs include
direct observation, questionnaires, consultation with employees at important position and
have specific or specialized knowledge. Other techniques include interviews, focus group,
record and report study, work sampling etc. Examination , test , Job description , setting of
standards , performance review etc. In addition to this other methods can be utilised such as
Development Sessions, Recognition of Prior Learning , Workplace Skills Assessment ,

for improving their health and safety awareness so as he can protect from the uncertain

By self assessment and self practices he can able to solve his problem. With help of effective

2. After observing the educator after their training period it was identified that educators
were not able to communicate in non verbal way efficiently. In order to improve the
non verbal communication, transformations will be made in the training plan and
more focus will be given to practical training rather than theoretical one. This will
help in increasing the effectiveness in the quality of communication and thus
educators will able to communicate with families effectively and efficiently.
ACTIVITY 3C
1. Modifying learning plans are not easy. There are various factors influences the
modifications of learning plans. These includes the performance of educators,
feedbacks, growth in children, conflicts, disputes, etc. These are necessary elements
that influences the modification of the learning plans.
2. In order to modify the learning plans, I will first negotiate with the supervisor.
Supervisor will provide my the guidelines for modification. He will help in

formulating and implementing precise strategy that will lead to the modification of the
learning plan. Further, I will negotiate with the educators and families of children
before making any modification in the learning plan.
3. In order to seek negotiation, I will begin with the problems and issues that are being
faced by the educators and children with the existing learning plan. I will make them
understand the needs of the modification and will allow them to generate feedbacks
that will lead the care centre towards growth and development.
ACTIVITY 3D
1. Recording and documenting the reports and performance of team competency is very
important and crucial. By recording, the analyser will able to analyse the past and
present performance of educators and anticipate the future performance of the
educator. Recording and documenting will also aid in generating an idea that will help
the management about the performance of the educator. In this way, he or she will
able to increase the effectiveness and quality of the work within the organisation.
2. Records that could be used in care centre to record the competencies level of team can
be in electronic format or recorded in the document checklist. records are used to
manage individual and team development as with the help of records, the care
providers, educators and manager will able to assess the performance level of the
effectively and adequately. In this way they will able to make any modifications
which helps in growth and development of the organisation. For example, at our
centre, the electronic records are widely used which detail the competency level.
Assessor observes the performance of educator and rate the score in his or her
computer. After that comparison of records are made through software and report
provided to the top management.

My communication skill was too good and I have involved all educator during my
conversation. I have listened their view point carefully and resolve their quarries

presentation skill I was not able to present somewhere in front of team members in effective
manner. Team management skill was little lacking in me.

I have been working as a manager in an organization. In management activities of
the functions is related to each other and the functions complement each other. As a manager
my role is to concentrate on achieving the key mission of the organization, .Objectives of
early childhood center is to provide welfare as well as quality education to children. I work
with people and provide them with several resources which are required by them to perform
their tasks. I used to support people and connecting the right person with the right resources. I

make plans, strategies and schedule which are very much important in order to achieve
desired outcome.

Two things the group did well on and two areas where they could have done things better.
The two coordination as well as resource utilization in effective manner are done
properly by team members during the completion of project. But If I would be at their place I
would have concentrate on maintaining the quality of work as well as would have applied
new methods or techniques for completing the task. The one thing that ins done by group is
that they have work according to the set time schedule. Another thing is that they have focus
on their own task. If I would be at their place I would have helped other in completion of

Our goal was to develop healthy relationship with family members, I have encouraged my team
members and they have raise communication with family members. This has helped in accomplishing
objective successfully. The outcome of the task was that now team members have strong relationship
with family members and parents discuss about issues of children and they give suggestion to protect
their rights. It was completed successfully.
One of the thing that was not well that we have assumed to complete this task within 5 days
but it had take much time from our expectation. So if we improve out time management and

scheduling skill then this thing can be improved definitely. But parents have given kind response that
has helped us in meeting without objective. Another thing that went well was contribution of each
team members equally. All the team members were ready to communicate with family members, they
have contributed well.
