TOPIC:“What are the positive economic, cultural and ethical impacts of globalization ondifferent business functions within an organization ”INTRODUCTIONResearch Background.Globalization has led to the cross border trade across the world leading to the rise inbusiness activities in several countries and establishing a single platform for trading activities.This in turn has changed the business revolution by implementing various cultural and economicchanges in the countries such as business expansion, exchange of currencies, FDI, labourmigration, change in marketing strategies etc. This research is based on the observational studyof Hilton Hotels- an American multinational hospitality company being head quartered inVirginia, United States. Hilton Hotels operates its business in 113 countries across the world andconsists of 169,000 employees working under it. This research will use the application of varioustools and techniques to determine the positive impacts on HR function of Hilton Hotels.Researcher will define how globalization has impacted HR function of the company and whatwill be the strategies used for overcoming the challenges faced by Hilton Hotels due toincreasing level of labour migration across the world.RationaleThe intent behind choosing this topic by researcher is to identify the ethical, cultural andeconomic impacts of globalization on the HR function of business and to understand thechallenges and issues faced by HR department of organization due to labour migration. On theflip side another purpose behind conducting this research is for the academic requirements of theresearcher.LO 1P1 Aims and ObjectivesAim: “To understand the positive impacts of globalization on HR function of the organization-A study on Hilton Hotels.”Objectives:To determine the current trends of Globalization in context with HR function of theorganization.1
To identify positive ethical impacts of globalization in HR function of businesses.To determine the key issues in HR function due to increase in labour migration across theworld.To suggest effective measures for organization to overcome negative impacts ofglobalization on HR function. Research Questions:What are the current trends and changes in HR function of company due to globalizationimpact?What are the positive impacts of globalization on HR function of business?What are the issues faced by HR department due to increasing level of labour migrationacross the countries?What are the recommendation to improve the condition of HR function and overcome theissues faced by it?P2 Project Management PlanProject management plan is the body and structure of the body and knowledge where thisdocument has been used for describing and defining the phase and role of the project. the mainpurpose of the project management plan is to determine the outcomes of the project and what hasbeen invested in the project. There are some points which has been added in the projectmanagement plan for identifying the outcome of the research. Scope At the time of research collecting data and gathering information is basically known asthe scope. Research project scope is very wide because there are so many data and informationhas been collected which has been used in so many areas. This research is very much useful incorporate and academic sector for the future. It increasing the knowledge and skills of thescholars. Furthermore, it also helps the organisation for competing in global market and alsoadopting the factors of globalisation. Cost Cost is most important part of the research because it is necessary to make budget andwithout cost it is unable to conduct this research. Cost of the research is very useful in collectingdata and data analysis. Researcher has to make so many plans for expenses and income that2
included in the research. A cost of $1000 has been required for conducting this research. CommunicationIt is very important to make an effective communication in conducting this researchwhere it is helpful in communication with others and also interacting with others for collectingdata and information. Furthermore, there are different ways which has been used incommunicating while conducting this research such as telephone, E-mails, messengers andcurriculum etc. it helps in communicating with other for understanding the different languagesand translating numericals. RiskWhile conducting this research there are so many risks which has been occurred. It hasbeen analysed by the scholar the negative impacts which has been occurred for conducting thisresearch. There are so many risks which has been occurred such as the physical injury, illness, &suffering from injuries while collecting data is advised before starting research project. Risk isalso related to the cut of recorded data, lack of resources, so many misuses of personalinformation of participants, increase in demand of employees are considered & evaluated in thisresearch project.Resources it is necessary for conducting the research to enabled to gather data related to a specifictopic if there is deficiency of availability of proper resources. Resources is one of the essentialpart for analysing the outcomes of research.
