Section Five: Research approach and methodologies What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why? What your areas of research will cover: Research methodology is referred as the chapter that assists in taking out piece of information
in relation to the topic. This chapter gives methods for assembling and analysing information in limited time duration. Saunders research onion framework will be used for attaining the objectives of current research. This provides certain layers that help in the procedure of accumulating and evaluating data. Research Philosophy:Research philosophy is explained as the methodology that provides certain belief for measuring and evaluating apt piece of information. It is categorised in three major types that include: epistemology, ontology and axiology. Epistemology philosophy has three more kinds that are: positivism, realism and interpretivism. Positivism philosophy will be considered by investigator as it assists in evaluating gathered primary and numerical data. This does not consume longer period of time in the evaluation of numerical information (Nayak and Singh, 2021). Research Approach:Research approach is defined as the research methodology that facilitates in measuring accumulated data (Babii, 2020). It is bifurcated in two major kinds that are: inductive, deductive and abductive research approach. Deductive approach will be considered for the measurement and evaluation of information that is present in number form. Hence, this does not take longer duration of time for evaluating numeric data. This approach will give more effective and logical procedure to test and scan the assembled data. Research Strategy:Research strategy is the method which assists in accumulating data that is related to the topic of investigation. The several types of research strategies are: action research, grounded theory, survey, systematic literature review and many more (Bairagi and Munot, 2019). Researcher will choose survey as the strategy because it facilitates in assembling numeric and primary piece of information. Under this, questionnaire will be formed. Research Choice:Research choice is referred as the methodology that helps in assembling information that is as per the requirement of investigation. The three kinds of research choice are: mono method, multi-mixed method and mixed method. Researcher will rely on mono method because it gives option to choose either qualitative or quantitative. Researcher will choose quantitative choice because it is directly connected to take out numerical form of information in minimum time period (Ragab and Arisha, 2018). Data Collection:Data collection is the research methodology that gives two important types that are: primary and secondary data collection. Researcher will take assistance from both the methods of data collection. Primary data collection will be selected to assembled first-hand data without consuming limited time period. Questionnaire will be formed in which particular close-ended questions. Besides this, investigator will also use secondary data collection
method because that assists in compiling second-hand information that is already published similar to the topic. The secondary sources that will be used in the current investigation are: books, articles, journals, newspapers etc. Sampling:Sampling is the methodology provides methods for selecting respondents that can give information about the topic of study. The sampling is of two types that are: probability and non-probability sampling. Researcher will choose probability sampling because it helps in taking certain number of respondent by following random method. 25 human resource managers will be chosen from Morrisons to gather data because they are directly connected to the company. Time Horizon:Time is the important element because it helps in accomplishment of objectives and aim. The two kinds of time horizon are: cross-sectional and longitudinal time horizon. Cross-sectional time horizon will be chosen because this will help in attaining objectives in real time situation (Devi, 2017). Data Analysis:Frequency distribution analysis will be used in the current investigation because the whole research is based upon quantitative piece of information. So, this will help in collecting apt piece of information that is reliable as well as relevant. Comments and agreement from tutor Comments (optional): I confirm that the project is not work which has been or will be submitted for another qualification and is appropriate.
