Objectives
To develop basic understanding regarding the talent management
To determine the benefits of talent management for Primark
To examine the challenges that could be faced by Primark due to absence of talent management within an
organisation
Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Reasons for choosing the project (e.g links to other subjects you are studying, personal interest,
future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why the topic is important):
Main reason behind the selection of this topic or research is to identify the impact of talent management within
an organisation. This is an important research as it helps various stakeholders that Primark, researcher and
students. For researcher, this research helps them in enhancing their research skills that are data collection,

and dissatisfied employees not give their full efforts in satisfying customers’ needs and wants that resulted in
higher customer retention.
Section Four: Activities and timescales

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why? What your areas of
research will cover:
Research Philosophy: There are two significant types of research philosophies that are positivism and
interpretivisim. Both are essential but positivism will be a selected research philosophy as it provides valid
results within minimum time period. Main reason behind the selection of positivism type is it helps in gathering
and evaluating numerical or quantitative data (Turnbull, Chugh and Luck, 2021).
Research Approach: There are two approaches of the research such as inductive and deductive. Both
approaches are effective but deductive is a selected approach within present investigation (Avci, 2021). Main
purpose behind the selection of deductive approach is it facilitate in evaluating quantitative data in less time.
Research Design: There are three types of research philosophies such as descriptive, experimental and
exploratory. All these are effective but descriptive design is essential and useful as it helps in collection and
evaluation of quantitative data.
Research Methodology: There are two types of methodologies such as qualitative and quantitative. Within this
research, quantitative research will be applied because it assists in collecting numerical data within given time

period that resulted in attainment of research aim and objectives (Kaye, 2022).
Sampling Method: There are two methods of sampling which are probability and non-probability. In this
research, probability is a selected method as it helps in selection of larger sample within minimum time period.
By using probability sampling, 40 employees of Primark are selected randomly for questionnaire (Ndenje-
Sichalwe and Elia, 2021).
Data analysis: Frequency distribution analysis will be applied for evaluating quantitative data. There are
different benefits of using frequency distribution analysis such as cost effective, time effective etc.
