INTRODUCTION
Teaching and learning is defined as the process of the transformation process of the
knowledge from the educators to the students. Education is considered as very important part
which contributes in the development of the person which also help in achieving their career
goals. Over the past many years it has been observed that with the advancement in the
technology has resulted innovation of new and effective methods which helps in providing
effective learning to the students helps in increasing the understanding of the teacher through
which they can deliver the best knowledge through the application of such knowledge(Albiladi,
and Alshareef, 2019).
With the of effective knowledge and understand will help in the development of the
society as they will be aware about the environment. For the development of the knowledge of
the students, educators used various methods and techniques as per the requirements of the
students and give lessons accordingly(Schlesselman, 2020). In the changing world it is
necessary that an individual should have required knowledge and understanding which helps in
achieving the objectives and helps in building communication which is necessary in order to
survive and achieve their career goals.
In order to engage in the process of learning it very necessary to have required and
understanding of this process. Learning can be defined as the act of getting experience ,
knowledge and skill and it also helps in bringing various changes in the existing behaviour of the
students and helps in gaining more knowledge which contributes in their development .It has
been also observed there are various learning styles and every student has their own such as
auditory, visual, reading and writing and Kinesthetic . With the help of this it helps the students
to easily interpret the concepts and make further improvement accordingly. On the other hand it
is the responsibility of the teachers to analyse the learning needs and requirements of the students
and make further lesson plan accordingly which help in building effective communication which
enable the students to ask the teacher the queries related to the chapter which helps in resolving
the problems.
It has ben observed that various contemporary issues are faced by the teachers. It can be
said that there should be effective communication among the students and educators which helps
in effectively understand the learning requirements of the students that in results help in
delivering the required knowledge to the students(Hofer, and et.al., 2021). The present report is

based on the teaching and learning that is classified in to five Sections which includes the
reflective account of the teacher and facilitator in learning and various learning theories and
learning styles in teaching. In addition to this the first section also covers the contemporary
issues in the teaching. Section 2 is based on the Patient education , patient and carer participation
in the teaching and learning. Section 3 is related to the innovation and contemporary practices
and development in the field of education. Section 4 is associated with the role of feedback
approaches and section 5 is related to the organizational learning and development needs in the
educational sector.

Section: 1 You as a teacher and facilitator of learning – reflective account
Overview of the topic
This section is based on the lesson plan that is to be designed by me as a teacher and the
topic selected is on the “Health and Safety” in order to create awareness about the health and
safety that is to be maintained by the student(Isaev, and Astasheva, 2018,). With the help of
lesson plan it will help in creating more awareness and responsibility among the students which
can be followed throughout their life and increase their knowledge.

Theories and models of learning
There are five types of theories of learning :
 Behaviourism
 Cognitive
 Constructivism
 Humanism
 Connectivism
Contemporary issues in learning is defined as the present issues that is affecting learning of the
students and is becoming a problem which restrict their growth and development in order to
pursue their career in the future . The contemporary issues can be justified with the help of
behaviourism theory that focuses on experimental and observation . It also focuses on the idea
that all behaviours are learned through interaction and communication with the people and other
students (Hammad, and et.al., 2020).The major issues faced by the educator is that if there is
lack of communication and interaction with the students will impact their learning. If the teacher
is not able to understand the students needs and requirements in learning will result into negative
impact on the learning of the students and hence it is necessary to understand the needs of the
students which can be accomplished through effectively communicating with the students and
listening to them. On the other hand negative attitude of the students can also become major
issues which can become barrier in the learning and teaching practices.
On the other hand it is observed that every student have their own learning styles which
can be classified into visual, auditory, reading and writing and Kinesthetic. The teacher while
designing the lesson plan has to consider the learning style of the students which helps them to
better understand the topics that is discussed in the session . The issues faced by the teacher is
the that it consumes more time to design the lesson plan as per the learning style of every
student. The challenges faced by the educator is to create favourable working environment in
order to make the student comfortable and help in understand the topics discussed according to
their learning styles which makes the students easily understand and enhance their
knowledge(Costa, and et.al., 2020).
On the other hand teaching is not considered as easy task and requires lot of practice for
developing the knowledge of the students(Malmi, and et.al., 2020). It is necessary to overcome
these issues that is identified as it will help in increasing the knowledge area of the students and

contributes in their personal as well as professional development. For example, it is the
responsibility of the teacher to evaluate the understanding level of the student and learning style
which help the students to better understand and then create the lesson plan which can help
every student to better understand and achieve the objectives . With the help of gained
knowledge and experience will help to pursue the career and effectively achieving and
understand the information that is conveyed which contributes in their professional development.
Reflective practice
Reflective practice refers to the ability of an individual to reflect on their actions and
attitude towards their own practice with the continuous process of adoption and learning. It is
basically the methods and techniques that help the person to reflect on their experience and
actions. Education is one of the major component which contributes in the development of the
student. In order to enhance the development of the students , educator makes their continuous
efforts and use various techniques and methods which helps in developing the knowledge and
undertaking which contributes in their achievement of the career goals(Sener, and Çokçaliskan,
2018). In order to provide better knowledge and understanding I focused on identifying the needs
and different learning styles of the students and evaluated the same and create the lesson plan
accordingly which helped in enhancing their understanding and also help in improving their
skills. Furthermore, with the help of various tools and techniques I focused on providing students
with better quality education regarding the topic which has helped me to know more about the
students which helps in further planning the lesson plan accordingly. Furthermore, with the help
of this I also understood new and advanced teaching practices and methods that can be adopted
which helps in the development of the student.
SECTION -2 Patient education, patient and carer participation and involvement in teaching,
learning and assessment
Patient education refers to the planned interactive process that is designed and introduced
by the health care practitioners in order to support and manage their life and also care about the
illness. It is also referred to as the procedures which helps in influencing the behaviours of the
patients and provide knowledge and provide training in order to develop the necessary skills in
order to improve the health of the patients(Heng, and et.al., 2020). The main purpose of
providing training which can assist the service provider to provide necessary information and
remind the patients and educate the patients about proper measures and ways to self manage care

and avoid the negative outcomes which can cause negative impact on their health. With the help
of the information provided will help in managing their health and can improve their health in
the future and prevent form any disease or problems in the future.
In order to execute such plan it is necessary that there should be involvement of the
patients during the session and its also necessary to maintain effective and strong relationship
with the patients that will help in providing better instructions that will help to achieve the
objective of patient education which will contribute in improving their health and also create
awareness for the future(Wittink, and Oosterhaven, 2018). Furthermore, the benefits of patients
education leads to better patient satisfaction with the service providers and with this it also
results into increase in the compliance of the various treatment plans which can help the patients
to reduce their overall cost of the treatment if the necessary education is provided to them. It has
been observed that within the developed countries it has been observed that involvement of the
patients and carers has become one of the most important aspect in the healthcare sector. The
major purpose behind this is to ensure healthcare delivery and also educate the patients so that
they can manage their health easily(van der Wees, and et.al., 2019). In order to implement this it
is necessary to listen to the problems of the patients and find effective ways in order to
implement strategies in order to fulfil the needs and requirements of the patients. The another
benefit of patient and carer involvement in the health care education includes various
opportunities in order to influence the healthcare program. Patient, Care and Public Involvement
(PCPI) that is one of the healthcare related program which helps in developing the knowledge ,
understanding and various skills of the students. With the help of this the students will gain the
understanding about the various medical conditions of the patients which also help in
implementing various solution to solve the patients problems so that they self-manage about their
health(Phelan, and et.al., 2020). This programme was implemented in 2014 and currently have
170 PCPI participants. In this programme the participants are provided training which helps in
increasing their knowledge which help in providing effective services to its students.
Patient involvement refers to the participation of the patients in various decision-making
or where they can effectively express their opinion regarding the various treatment methods. It
is important to support the patient involvements in the healthcare needs help in improving their
health as after getting the training and education will help in self managing about their health
which will result in to generating positive outcomes and less cost will be incurred.

According to Bergerum, and et.al., (2019) it has been observed that during the patient
involvement it has bee noted that it is very necessary to identify the health and personal need of
the patients as it will help in understanding their health related problems and covey the solutions
which can be beneficial for the patients in their treatment. On the other hand Rowland, and et.al.,
(2019)It should be kept in mind that with the help of implementing various strategies and plan
will help in achieving the goals but can also face various challenges which can be and issue
when undertaking the program.
In order to overcome the issues that can cause hindrance in the patient involvement it is
necessary top find possible solution to the problems that includes it is necessary for engaging the
patients in the safety improvement which helps the patients to become proactive and minimize
the harm that can cause in the self-care. In order to deliver this solution it is necessary for the
healthcare institutions to provide various information and education to the patients and health
providers which helps in contributing tin overcoming the problem that is faces by the patients
regarding their health.
According to Bolz-Johnson, Meek, and Hoogerbrugge, (2020) with the help of
involvement of the patient in healthcare and education will results into generating improved
health outcomes as they will be provided with all the information regarding their current health
conditions and can take necessary steps in order to manage their health problems and reduce the
costs on the treatments. But on the contrary Skovlund, and et.al., (2020)viewed that it has been
observed that although patients are provided with the necessary information, but they still can
face various problems including the self managing the health related issues. According to
Doekhie, and et.al., (2018) it also provides with various health related services which can be
helpful for the patients to improve their health and take necessary measures in order to reduce the
after effects.
From the above analysis I have realized the importance of patient participation and
involvement that is necessary in order to educate the patients regarding the medical health
condition. I have realized that people become more aware about their health conditions and take
precautionary steps to avoid any problem in the future. Apart from, this I also gained a lot of
knowledge and identified some aspects that is necessary for the execution of the health and
patient related programs. With the help of this study it has enhanced by knowledge about the
importance of educating the patients as it can be helpful inn achieving the objectives and also

contributes in the development of the society as people will be aware about their medical
conditions and protect themselves from any harm in the future.
Section:3 Title: Innovation and contemporary practice & development in teaching and learning
Innovation is considered as important aspect which contributes in the development and
growth of any sectors and especially in learning and teaching . With the advancement in the
technology it is required to introduce new and effective training methods which helps in
enhancing the learning of the students and also help in increasing their knowledge and skill that
can be helpful their growth, development and career growth(Gunner, and et.al., 2020). With the
help of innovative learning and teaching will not only help in enhancing the knowledge of the
student as but also help in building the teaching skills of the educator.
Healthcare in education helps the teacher to adopt various new and advanced
technologies which helps in enhancing the knowledge area of the students and provide them with
greater opportunities to learn new things. It has been observed that with the increase in the
technology it has resulted into various organisation and sectors adopted new systems and
software in their management in order to provide efficient services(Islam, 2021). Technological
advancement in the healthcare sectors has also increased with the installation of new and
advanced machineries which will help in providing numerous opportunities for improving the
healthcare and making transformation in the healthcare industry which includes fewer errors ,
facilitating the care coordination. The technologies used in the healthcare industry will help in
tracking the data and information of the patients and also provide effective treatments. With the
help of the technology in the healthcare help to track the data and history of the patients and also
help in reducing the costs that is incurred in the treatment of the patients. But on the contrary it is
observed that with the use of new technology in the hospitals more cost is incurred as they
provide effective results which helps in improving the medical situation of the patients.
Technology Enhanced Learning(TEL)
With the advancement in the technology every company operating in education and
healthcare industry has enabled the organisation to install new and advanced technologies in its
systems in order to enhance their learning which increase the knowledge and understanding and
also develop the skills which helps in development of the students and also provide effective
services in the healthcare sector (Daniela, and et.al.,2018). TEL refers to the technology that is
used by the institutions in order to enhance the knowledge and learning experience. In order to

enhance the knowledge and learning of the student and with the changes in the education ,
educational institutions have introduced various new programs which helps in enhancing the
learning of the students with the helps of use of advance technology. Due to pandemic the scope
of online learning has increased which has enabled the students to gain knowledge from any
locations .On the other hand it has helped to improve the communication as it has filled the gaps
between the learning of the students .
With the changes in the technology it has resulted in to creation of new and advanced
methods such as experimental learning which refers to the process of learning by doing the
things(Lytras, Sarirete, and Damiani, 2020) . In this process the students enhance their learning
through their own experience and includes the activities that is internship , field exercise which
helps in identifying their skills and knowledge which helps in their personal as well professional
development.
Contemporary issues in education
Technology: Various challenges are faced by the educational institutions is because of the
budget limitations and lack of financial resources which becomes hurdle and restrict the
educator to provide education to the students(Hoel, and Mason, 2018) . These challenges are
considered as the major factor which is considered as an issues in the education sector.
Innovation: It has been observed that innovation in education is related to the technology as it
depends upon the educator what type of technology and software used by the institutions but
there has been various issues faced by the educator in teaching and learning which is lack of
proper guidance or experience person which helps in providing education which enhanced the
learning of the students in the education sector(Mazzucato, 2018).
Inter professional education is widely used concepts and also pedagogical approach
which helps in preparing the students and also health care practitioners in order to provide
collaborative and proper care to the patients. It has been observed that when people work in
cooperation helps in delivering effective work and services to the patients. This can an issue in
the healthcare sector which can be due to various reasons such as lack of resources, support and
lack of educational programs relevant to Inter professional education(de Nooijer, Dolmans, and
Stalmeijer, 2022). This issue can also arise because of lack of coordination of experience and
financial resources which can results into various issues in this regard.

It can be analysed from the above research that it innovation and technology both aspects
play a very major role in the field of education and healthcare(Konstantinidis, Bamidis, and
Zary, 2021). With changes in the environmental factors it has become necessary for the company
and educational institutions to adopt new and effective technologies which helps in providing
more enhanced learning to the students which contributes in their professional development. It
has been observed that various technology related issues which is faced by the educator which
includes the lack of proper guidance and experience and major issue i.e. lack of resources which
become hindrance in the delivering quality education to the students.
On the other hand various issues are involves in the healthcare sector which enable the
medical practitioners to deliver quality services to the patients. On the other hand there can be
various other issues related to community in practice as every person has their opinion and views
which can be sometimes differed from other and became an issue which restricts the growth and
results in inefficiency to deliver services(Richards, and et.al., 2022). It has been observed that
technology plays a very important role which helps in success of every business and on the other
hand helps in enhancing the learning style and knowledge of the students.
Section 4 Learner development – role of feedback approaches and adjustments for learning
needs/support
This section covers the role of feedback in the learning and various approaches related to
it. It also specifies the various models and strategies of feedback in health care and education. It
has been observed that feedback in education is important component of teaching as it helps in
improving th knowledge and skills and also helps in improving the performance of an
individual(Carless, 2020). It is generally defined as the information that will b helpful to
improve the prior actions of an individual which helps in improving the current actions and
prepare for the future one. It has been observed that effective feedback focus on the positive
aspects which develop confidence their skills and knowledge in the areas where requirements
are necessary which will help in effectively performing the future actions effectively.
As per the feedback model that is Situation, Behaviour and impact feedback tool helps in
understanding effects of the action of an individual in precise manner. Situation lays focus on the
describing some particular situation(Winstone, Hepper,and Nash,2021). As per the case study
that is highlighted in the Management of Acute Deterioration L6 project regarding the

Hyperkalemia with the helps of this model, situation tool helps in analyses the root cause in
particular situation and helps in avoiding the generalities that can be root cause of the situation.
The second is the behaviour tool and focuses on the observation without identifying the reason
behind it. It also lays focus on staying away form the judgments and opinions which can impact
the study or research. This model focus on providing bit positive and constructive feedback and
also helps in clarifying the situation(Henderson, and et.al., 2019). From the case study it can be
said that with the helps of this model it helps in identify the root cause of the particular situation
and helps in resolving this. In order to improve the effectiveness of the research it is necessary to
implement various strategies to enhance the feedback i.e.
 Use the feedback sandwiches which includes the positive comments on the study ,
criticism of a particular statements and explanation of how to improve such
mistake and also provide positive comment which helps in building confidence
skill and knowledge of an individual.
 It is also necessary to build the reflection time in every lesson on feedback that is
there should be proper communication among the teacher and students.
 In order to enhance the quality of work it is important to use the abbreviations

Feedback in the healthcare sector provides valuable information regarding the patients and
services the health care institutions providing to the patients. With th help of patients feedback
will give and insight about the working of the institution and what further improvement is
required (Wu, and et.al., 2020). As per the case study it can be said that it is necessary for the
healthcare service provider to effectively understand and evaluate the current position of the
patients and take further steps accordingly. It has been also observed that in order to treat the
patient having particular disease it is necessary to identify which methods are effective and
which can cause harm to the patients.
Feedback is very effective tool for the doctors and provide with sufficient information
about their practices and services they offer to the patients. Furthermore, it also helps in
identifying their strengths and weakness through which improvement is to be made on the
specified areas(Kaehne, and et.al., 2019). It is not an easy task as there can be various
challenges but with th help of effective framework it helps in receiving effective feedback and

make changes accordingly. There can be various types of feedback in the healthcare sector i.e.
formal , informal , formative and summative feedback. It has also been observed that positive
feedback encourages the learner to effectively focus on developing the knowledge and skills
which also contributes in their professional development. In the healthcare sector for the
professional feedback helps in promoting the reflective and experimental learning and also it
helps in improving the performance at high level. Feedback can be given by any person which
can include educational supervisors, colleagues, patients and trainees. Furthermore ,it is also
observed that there are various factors that impact the effective feedback :
 Generalized feedback is one of the barriers to effective feedback and is not of much
relevance as it is confusing. It has been observed that the person who is receiving the
feedback is unclear regarding the main purpose of the session and in the healthcare it
interrupts into professional relationship and causes unnecessary confusion among them.
 The person who is providing feedback can be from different cultural and background and
these factors can impact the feedback session as every person has different views and
opinions.
 Language barrier is one of the major challenges in the effective feedback as a result of
receiving unclear assumptions . It is necessary to promote cultural diversity at the
workplace which also helps in overcoming the issues that is faced due to lack of proper
communication.
It is observed that getting feedback from the team members, supervisor or colleagues is
important in order to evaluate the services that is being provided to the patients and if any
improvement that is required in order to make improvements in the services. Furthermore,
Feedback received can be bot positive and negative which helps in identifying the strengths and
weakness and helps in taking proper actions in the future. In addition to this various challenges
also occur which can interrupt in receiving effective feedback but with the help of proper
application of the feedback models will help to receive information in order to effectively
address the comments and make improvements accordingly which helps in providing effective
services to the patients according to their present condition. It has been observed that positive
feedback helps in identifying the strengths and weakness which enable the professionals to build
their skills and knowledge which helps in implementing more effective practices in the
healthcare institutions.

Overview of the topic
Organizational learning refers to the development of the knowledge structure that is
followed by the organization. In order to develop the understanding , skill and knowledge of the
employees it is necessary to provide necessary training(Lenart-Gansiniec, 2021). The current
topic is based on the organizational learning and organizational need with the help of lesson plan

Training needs and models of quality control in organization
In order to provide better quality education to the students it is necessary for the
educators to have required knowledge and training through which they can easily understand the
learning requirements of the students and educate the students accordingly. Various models and
framework is applied by the organization which helps to ensure that the process is being
followed which helps in analysing the needs of the students(Darwish, and et.al., 2020). In this
model Bloom Taxonomy different skills and objectives are set by the educators for their
students. It can be considered as the effective method in order to organize the different level of
cognitive learning.
The key components of this framework include: remembering, understanding, applying,
analysing , evaluating and creating.
Identifying: This stage involves remembering the prior knowledge from the long term memory
and on the basis of these helps in gaining and focusing on the current understanding.
Understanding: This phase involves the understanding various strategies and draw conclusion
accordingly. It depends upon the understanding level of the students and then drawing
conclusion accordingly which helps in enhancing their knowledge and understanding.
Applying: In this stage the educator implementing the procedures that will be used in order to
enhance the learning and ability of the students in order to enhance the learning of the students .
Analysing: In this stage of the model the information is divided into various meaningful parts
and also ensures that all the relevant information Is available in order to reach the objectives and
prepare the students to achieve the goals.
Evaluating: This step helps in evaluating the overall information that is relatable to the learning
which will be used in order to provide higher learning and understanding of the students needs.
Creating: The last step of the model involves organizing the ideas into the new structure in order
to create a new pattern of understanding and learning of the students.
The other model that can be used is the Kirkpatrick which is one of the best known model
which helps in evaluating the results of the training and educational programs conducted by the
institutions(Cahapay, 2021). This model is classified into four levels i.e. Reaction , learning,
behaviour and results.

Reaction: This stage refers to the reaction of the students and it highlights that the training
criteria is understood by the students or not that means what knowledge is received by the
students and skills and weakness identified during the training. Questions are asked form the
participants about their experience ans in this each program needs to be assessed in order to
make the future training programs more effective.
Learning:This stage is meant to understand the level of participants and knowledge that they
have received during the training and skills acquired by them . For example after the training
exams and assessment should be given to the students in order to identify the effectiveness of
the training and its impact on the students.
Behaviour: It helps in identifying the behaviour of the students after the training sessions .
Changes in the students will help to identify the impact of training on their knowledge and
understanding.
Results: This stage is defined as the primary goal for the whole program which helps in
determining the overall result of the training program as with the help of these programs will
help in determining the knowledge , understanding and skills of an individual(Basten, and
Haamann, 2018).
Monitoring and evaluation is considered as the important aspect in the field of education as in
today's world various educational institutions is faced with various issues regarding the quality
education so it is necessary to involve in monitoring and evaluation of the quality of education in
order to find the effectiveness of the programmes and also training programs implemented by
the University in order to enhance the learning and understanding of the students and prepare
them for their future(Leal Filho, and et.al., 2018). With the helps of this it helps in implementing

In order to overcome the issues and to enhance the knowledge of the students it is
necessary to enhance and develop the training platforms such:
 The training and learning programs should be made more flexible by using the digital
tools such as powerful Learning management system(LMS) which helps in making the
training programs more efficient and quick.
 It is also requires that the educators is also involved , support and motivate the students
so that they actively participate in the learning programs.

 In order to successfully achieve the training programs it is necessary to effectively
communicate with the students and identify their understanding level and learning
requirements and make changes accordingly.
 The educators of the institutions can create learning paths for the students as it will be
easy for the students to identify their strength and weakness and take further actions
accordingly.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that education is considered as one of the
major element which contributes in the development of the students and prepare the students for
achieving the career goals. In order to enhance their knowledge and understanding educators
make various strategies and plans and implement various learning methods which help the
students to gain more knowledge and skills required to pursue the career goals in the future. In
order to effectively develop the programs and lesson plan teacher is required to monitor and
evaluate the understanding level and learning style of the students which helps in effectively
planning for programs and execute training programs accordingly.
Only implementing the programs is not sufficient but it is necessary for the educational
institution to apply various in order to evaluate the effectiveness of such training programs which
also helps the students to identify their skills and knowledge that they acquire through the
training programs implemented by the organization. Furthermore, there are various challenges
that is faced by the educators while creating the programs as they have to consider the learning
style of every student and then implement the same. Different strategies are adopted by the
organization which depends upon the structure of their institution. The purpose of every training
program is to focus on achieving the target to develop the knowledge and skills of the students
sop that they identify their strengths and weakness and make improvement accordingly.
The report is summarized into five sections and Section 1 is concerned with the reflective
account on teaching and learning which is explained through lesson plan on Health and safety
which helps the students in understanding the meaning and importance of following the
provisions of health and safety which will help in building effective communication. In the

following session various theories of learning has also been discussed in the report. Various
contemporary issues that is faced by the teacher while making the lesson plan as it is necessary
for the teacher to understand the learning and understanding level of the students which will
helps in their professional development. Section 2 refers to the patient education and their
involvement in teaching as it is necessary for the patients to have full information about their
current health condition which helps in creating awareness and creates responsibility of self care
which helps in reducing their treatment cost as they are able to manage and have necessary
information about their condition.
Section 3 summarize that various practices in innovation and technologies and various
strategies that helps in enhancing the education and also various healthcare needs relating to
TEL. Section 4 is related to the role of feedback and its approaches in learning and also related
models and strategies of feedback in the healthcare and education sector. Section 5 discuss the
organizational and earning needs of the with the help of models of quality control within the
organisation with the application of Kirkpatrick model. Apart from this various strategies to
enhance the training platform is also discussed in the report.
