•The presentation aims to analyse the importance of team collaboration at
workplace. There will be analysation of what policies are guiding
collaborative efforts. Also, how the team will be effective for working in
diversified organisation.

Why teams collaborate?
• Team collaboration occurs when team members
work together to achieve a same business goal.
Each member of a team is unique in their own way.
• Team members share workload while discovering
ideas, new methods or a different way to get
solutions. collaboration helps and improve the way
your team works together and solve problems.
• This process leads to new innovations, better
success rate, efficient process, improved
communication.

What policies guide collaborative working?
• Working in a collaborating environment means
getting doing work faster. It is a process through
which people productively explore their ideas.
• The policies to guide efficiently in collaborative
working with consideration of Unilever, it has shared
purpose or Vision for work. Unilever have open and
transparent trust that helps in building trust.
• Strong leadership drives the company forward in
Unilever consist of best directors and promoters to
lead the company well. Unilever must have a
contingency plan as sometimes market does not goes
as expected or directors or leaders leave position.

How do you collaborate outside of the organisation?
• Knowledge sharing that occurs outside of an enterprise is
considered external collaboration. A brand can communicate with
a variety of people to steer their belief. There are multiple
collaboration tools to do outside of the organisation.
• As per, Unilever do lot of outside collaboration their purpose is to
make sustainable living commonplace. As global company with
their brands available in around 190 countries.
• They engage with people by taking feedbacks from people and
doing surveys regularly, consumers value is recognised as
changes are done with consumer preference towards product,
shareholders are given dividends regularly in the company
performs well and earns revenue, governments relationships are
strong with Unilever.

How well does your organisation collaborate in diverse
teams?
• Diversified team are more in requirement of
collaboration. Team collaboration leads to attain goals
and objectives in an appropriate manner.
• When organisation have wide departments and
diversified fields, collaboration is important in order to
avoid confusion, delay and welcome creativity and
innovation.
• Therefore, the Unilever brand have different
departments as they deal in different types of products
like beauty, food etc. Their departments are well
connected with each other as they work with full co-
ordination.

What strategies could be used to motivate a team?
• Team must be remain motivated in the workplace.
Without collaborative efforts, no organisation could
attain long term success into market.
• Therefore, motivation is the key to which organisation
easily get the best potential out of them. Leaders some
time makes mistakes by not looking at team motivation,
this impact of team performance and hence, low growth.
• Unilever has great workplace coordination but there are
diversified group. The company needs to provide
salaries and incentives as much they diverse. For that
instance, the managers needs to look for their
performance regularly.

What are the consequences of poor collaborative
working?
•Poor collaborative working has many consequences at
workplace. It will lead to stop the growth of company in
many ways. All the workplace practices are carried out by
the employees which may suffer in long term.
•This creates problems in poor management project,
wastage of resources, negative impact on other teams or
groups. Also, collaboration require sharing of personal
information and asses of own portals. It may cause security
risks as people may leak information of other group
members for their own sake.

organisation. The team must be remain motivated by giving them a peaceful workplace, good
