Introduction: The assignment examines different aspect of team dynamics. The elaborations have also been made upon the training, performance and staffing of employees in the business project. 1. Why is this case about team conflict? What conflicts do you see developing? The case is about the team conflicts as the conflicts take place while the people start working in a team for meeting the desired goals of the organisation. The arousal of conflicts happened due to lack of communication that takes place among the teams and sub-teams. This affects the working of the employees in a team and employees lack in giving their ideas as they feel their ideas or opinions are not taken into consideration. The distance among the members also have arisen to the conflicts and lead to a lack in the transmission of messages (Dominick, 2008). 2. How is distance affecting team dynamics and performance? The distance affects the performance of the individuals in a team as they lack in effective communication that needs to be executed in the organisation. This lack of communication reduced the performance of the employees as the information of messages has not been transmitted from one person to another. The distance also made the individual resist the changes that take place in the organisation as the proper guidance of information has not been provided to them. They were not made to take active participation in the decision-making process. 3. What do you think about the decision to appoint sub-team sponsors? What problem can it solve? Which problems might it not solve? The decision to appoint the sub-team sponsors was effective and beneficial as this will help in reducing the leakage of work. This also helps in accomplishing the work in an effective manner with proper transmission of messages. This can help in delivering the work on proper time with the development of informal teams and informal communication among the team members. The 3

Apartfromthetechnicalskills, theemployeesneedtocarryvariousotherskillsfor accomplishing the desired goals and help in achieving the targets. The employees or members of the team need to have effective communication skills so that they can communicate diligently in the team with the team members. This will help in sharing different opinions and ideas so that it can help in effective decision making. The individuals need to have confidence, professional skills so that different ideas and opinions can take place and solutions to the problems can be made. The employees need to have courage and motivation skills so that they can meet the challenges faced by the organisation (Rahim, 2002). 5. What kinds of training and development activities would you have incorporated into this team's efforts? When would you have done them? The team members’ need to be provided with training and development practices so that they can communicate with the people and help in fulfilling the goals. The employees need to be training for the use of social media, communication skills that will help in taking the corrective action in the decision making process. The transmission of messages will also be made in an appropriate manner. 6. Can this project be saved? Can this team? What steps should be taken? The project can be saved by the effective contribution of the team members. This can be made by making the team members communicate formally or informally so that achievement of goals takes place. Proper guidance needs to be provided to the team members so that they can generate various idea and opinions for the decision-making process and help in providing solutions to the problems.
