Introduction:
The terrorism activity took place on September 11, 2001 is still counted as the furious
event of terrorist activity in United States. The Bush Administration focused on to curb the
terrorist activities in order to combat terrorism and sought support from the efforts of other
governments as well in serving the country and save people from terrorist activities
happening further. The laws and orders related to terrorism acts changed in course of time to
reshape the anti – terrorist activities (Kerwin, 2016). This paper will briefly discuss about the
changes in the acts in terms of changes happened to the USA Patriot Act and Homeland
Security Act.
Discussion:
The primary objective of the Homeland Security Act is to provide security parameters
around the protestant activities and the attacks related to the terrorist events. The main goal of
them is to minimize the damage and give assistance to the vulnerable condition after the
terrorist incident happens. Whereas, the major role of the Patriot Act is to determine and
punish the individuals involved in the terrorist acts (Anton et al., 2019). The patriot acts are
made to allow an emergency disclosure of the communications related to the electronics and
media in order to protect life and keep the motive of terrorism shorten in the domestic areas.
The authorities can be interpreted in order to the inclusions of the requests related to
the protected health information of several types without the expression of the authorization
of the patients or the legal guardian. This act includes many organizations such as The
Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, US Coast
Guard in order to establish the security parameters all around the United States (Madsen,
