Business Issue
There is various kind of business issues are facing by the companies like uncertainty
about what will happen in the future, financial management, performance monitoring, regulation
&compliance are two terms that are often used interchangeably, competencies & finding the
appropriate people, technology, data is exploding, customer service is really important. For this
report Tesco is taken as the chosen organisation in which company is facing some specific
business issues like issue related with the change because most of the staff members are deny to
adopt the change. It is essential for businesses to implement change & to take suitable procedures
that will aid in maintaining the efficacy of organisational change. It has been concluded that if
the need for transition becomes obvious, the organisation must select the appropriate course of
action to successfully implement that change (Doppelt, 2017). Tesco is one of the UK's most
successful & best-known groceries, as well as one of the world's largest commercial retailers.
Tesco was founded in 1919 by Jack Cohen in east London. Jack Cohen came up with the
moniker after acquiring a quantity of tea from T.S. Stockwell. Tesco is the largest grocery chain
in the United Kingdom, with sales of £38.558 billion (including VAT) in 2010 & £62.537 billion
worldwide. Despite the crisis, Tesco has made a staggering £3.4 billion profit worldwide this
year.
The main motive to adopt and implement the change is to improve the effectiveness of
the organisation and also gain more competitive advantages. Company is looking forward to
implement the high level of technologies so that company can effectively improve the
productivity level of their employees and their employee can easily provide their best
contribution in order to develop the organisational situation. It is determined that when
executives wanted to implement change, they are taking a huge risk. However, many
transformation programmes fail because firms struggle to create & maintain change
appropriately. Company manager have a higher chance of success if your organisation uses the
elements of effective change management to influence your own marketing strategy (Ford and et.
al., 2019).

It is analysed that when businesses fail to manage change, they are subjected to a variety
of negative consequences; including Salary cuts, entitlement cutbacks, job deterioration,
unemployment, or relocation to another town, area, or continent are all frequent developments
that negatively impact a proportion of the workforce. All of these changes might be terrible for
professionals, particularly those who support a family (Istomina and et. al., 2020). Change may
have a negative influence on a company's success, so it's critical to use an appropriate
management methodology. It is found that change management models can aid with this, & it is
established that change management procedures provide specific guidelines to assist firms in
managing change more successfully (Lewis, Passmore and Cantore, 2016).
The organizations face a number of challenges, including a total absence of executive
support & active sponsorship, completely inadequate buy-in &funding for change management,
objection to realistic proposals brand lack of community system, a lack of intelligence
&organizational structure that is opposed to change, an enormous amount of development, &a
complete absence of setting priorities. These problems also have a detrimental influence on the
change management, necessitating the use of a framework to effectively handle change situations
&avoid failure to create & respond to change. In order to resolve all the business issues related
with the change so it is necessary for the company focus on the change management approaches
(Melendez, Dávila and Pessoa, 2016).

In order to resolve the issues and take every challenges in an positive manner. It is
necessary for me to understand the significance of the skill development and prepare an
appropriate plan which can helpful to improve my skills. There are various kinds of skills which
i need to develop like communication skills, critical problem solving skills, time management
skills, decision making skills. But in context of change management business issue, i need to
work on some specific competencies which can helpful to be the best employees who will
always ready to take challenges and risk and adopt the uncertain situations risk to manage their
performance in order to improve their own performance and their company too (O’Neill, 2016).
There are some appropriate companies, skills and ability which i need to develop are discussed
below-
Always ready for the further develop - This has been the most specific problem that the
majority of people are confronted with. For example, i have identified that most of the
individuals are interested in pursuing a management accounting degree will be placed in a
different setting, one that is entirely commercial & where their own vocation is practised. I need
to build the attitude to always ready for the development and adopt the change in order to learn
new things (Roth and et. al., 2018).
Responding to a dynamic environment - This is a challenging situation for students to
deal with, &many of them are frightened to do so. For example, if employees are moving to
another city for the job purpose then he or she may be scared of the unfamiliar environment. It is
critical for students to adjust to their new environment in order to learn well. I need to be more
flexible to change my location in order to get better job opportunities and promotional purpose
(Smith, Skinner and Read, 2020).
Socializing & networking - Another hurdle that most students face when pursuing
business management education is socialising & connecting. There is a qualitative difference
between networking & networking, even though they are opposite complementary. Throughout
their practical commercial, students may encounter people from varied backgrounds &interests,
&the thought of networking &socializing may seem daunting. Nevertheless, this is a vital part of
your college experience something you should not disregard. Interacting with other colleagues is
important since they'll be the individuals to help you grasp things much better but you'll be
expected to participate on study tasks. Communication abilities, from the other hand, are

essential for expanding your network of connections & progressing in your business. I need to
improve my network so that i can effectively connect with the people and adopt the change
environment and connect with other people easily.
Working in a group - This is a problem that most people face since group project is
difficult. Students must converse well &assist one another in order to continue collaborative
efforts. Collaborating is a crucial skill to develop in any situation, whether it was an education
institution or a company, but it may be tough to perfect. Currently taking management will be
expected to complete both live & recorded projects. Group mentality has a significant impact on
a project's success. I need to learn how to work in a team and how to take decision as a good
team member. Working in a group is also a great option which can helpful to improve my
personality so that i can effectively engage with the people and work in a team effectively.
