Introduction
Managing the successful business project involves the strategic project management
planning and the organization of the company resources. This helps your organization in moving
towards the specific task or event in order to complete the duty towards the project. It is the
ongoing activity and the resources are managed which includes the personal and finances along
with the technology and intellectual property (Bhattacharya, 2021). The following discussion is
based on the topic transformation of the workplace because of the covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19
pandemic is the major external event which has disturbed many industries. Therefore the
following discussion is based on Tesco. It is one of the leading international retail company
established in 1919 and headquartered in the United Kingdom. It offers the products and services
such as the groceries and food items along with the electronics and financial services. Covid-19
has impacted the organization in transforming its workplace. Hence the following report covers
the project aims and objectives as per the given scenario along with its cost and scope, time and
quality, communication and risk resources. Discussion is also made on the work breakdown
structure and Gantt chart which provides the time frame and stages for completion. The report
also gives the insight of small-scale research in order to gather the information to support the
project management. The report also covers the findings using appropriate tools and techniques
along with the recommendations and reflections so that the target objective can be analyzed for
performance review with proper conclusion.

Project Aim
To investigate the transformation in workplace of Tesco due to the COVID-19 Pandemic
Project Objectives
To analyse the pre COVID situation within organization for analysing the past
information: Pre covid situation in Tesco is one of the project objectives in order to analyze the
transformation in the workplace within the organization due to the covid-19 pandemic. This is a
situation which can be analyzed by reading out the information and analyzing the situations
before covid-19 in Tesco. Operations and Management in the organization was mainly done in a
manual manner and no working from home was allowed for the employees. Advanced

technology was not adopted because of insufficient use of technical equipment before covid-19
circumstances.
To determine the existing COVID situation within organization for determining the current
information: The existing covid situation in Tesco is another project objective in order to
determine the transformation in the workplace of Tesco due to the covid-19 pandemic. This is
done by reading out the current data existence in the company so that the current operations
management can be determined. Currently the organization is having advanced technology so
that the people who are working from home can interact and communicate effectively. Advanced
technical equipment is used with an organization for better attraction of customers (Boons,
Doherty, Köhler and Wells, 2021).
To examine the post COVID situation within organization for examining the future
information: Post covid situation in Tesco is also another project objective in order to examine
the transformation in the workplace of Tesco due to the covid-19 pandemic. This is information
which can be read out by analyzing the both past and the current information so that the future
consideration and future information can be formulated. This will help in managing the
operations in a more potential manner with cost efficiency and time saving techniques as well.
To study the entire journey from pre to post COVID situation within Tesco so that
transformation can be studies in an in depth manner: It is highly important to study the whole
journey of the operations management in Tesco that has transformed from pre covid situation to
the post covid situation. Earlier Tesco was not aware of the advanced technology and usage of it.
Then after the covid-19 circumstances Tesco have started using the updated technology and
security systems for better functioning of the organization and will continue to adopt such
Technology (Fadeyi, 2020).
To evaluate the impact of COVID situation within organization for evaluating the decision
making process: Covid 19 has changed the strategies of decision making and the flow of
communication in Tesco. Organization has switched to the strategies of fact based approach of
decision making which includes the collection of relevant data or information in order to assess
the various choices in order to avoid the biased usage of data. This is has impacted positively on
the organization in terms of retaining the employees so that transformation within workplace can
be tactical and strategic in nature.

The project management plan of workplace transformation due to covid-19 in Tesco
covers different aspects such as cost and scope along with the time and qualities is followed by
the communication and risk resources.
Talking about cost, then the workplace transformation needs the activities such as data
analysis of past information and the current data so that the relationship can be created
among these. The cost of data analysis and technical experts are highly required because
the information system is needed for the same.
Talking about the scope, the reason being conducting the data analysis to examine the
transformation in the workplace such that it helps in the future decision-making and how
to maintain the positive transformation in the company (Bryson, 2021).
Talking about the time aspect, entire data analysis can take one month for better
searching about the previous and the current data so that the future information can be
obtained in an accurate manner.
Talking about quality, expertise is hired for the same so that the data science
methodology can be adopted with help of good tools and techniques and therefore it will
maintain the quality of the entire analysis of transformation in the workplace.
Talking about the communication flow, interaction among the employees and employees
can be done in the digitalised way such as the emails and presentation conferences.
Talking about the risk and resources, there is a risk because the result after data analysis
is not 100% true but can be mitigated just by estimating the entire analysis so that the
result can be carried out to the hundred percent (Petetin, 2020).
