their revenue generation. Travel and Tourism sector is largely composed of hospitality industry

report covers various aspects such as current structure, size and scope of hospitality industry,

purpose of their stay. People travel for business, medical, education, leisure and religious
purpose for which they look for place to stay. Hotel, motels, resorts, youth hostel, home
and community stay, flotels, are the few examples of lodging and accommodation.
Services offered by lodging and accommodation department at Easy Hotel are: Bed and
breakfast, catering services, concierge services, dry cleaning, doctor on call, laundry,
ironing and valet services, room service (24 hours), ticket and transfer services etc. Restaurant and managed services: Another significant segment under hospitality
industry is the food and beverage industry which look after the food services to the

offered in this sector vary from cheap to expensive, small to large and casual to fine
dining. There are distinct type of business are quick service restaurants, full service
restaurants, catering business and welfare such as religious congregations, destitute
homes etc. Travel and Tourism: This segment of hospitality industry looks after the issue of
travelling from one destination to another. People use distinct ways to commute from one
place to another through means of trains, cars, airlines, cruise and ships. Therefore, travel
and tourism is considered as the backbone of hospitality industry (MacKenzie and
Gannon, 2019). Assembly and Event management: MICE is regarded as the significant part of hospitality
industry which is a mnemonic of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions.

Bar: This place is usually designed for the consumption of alcoholic beverages by the

premise or outdoor caterings are services offered at the customer’s premises or catering
offered for the special occasions such as social events, exhibition, conferences etc.
Front Office department: Personnel at these department are the face of the Easy Hotel
group and come in contact with the customer as soon as the guest arrives. This
department manage the bookings of client and allot the rooms as per their need and pre
booking criteria. The prime functions of this department are the reservation, guest
services, check-inns, check-out, inquiry, foreign exchanges, finance and cashiering, room
assignment etc. This department is the core of the hotels as it is located centrally and
coordinated the activities directly with the other departments on the request of the
customer. For instance, when guest make a call for a room service, front office
department make contact with the housekeeping department or when guests orders food
contact with the food and beverage department to make a guest request fulfil.
Functional department of Easy Hotel Group Purchase department: Also known as procurement department, the department of Easy

regular sanitisation, maintaining social distance, weaning mask etc. at work place. Contactless Payment: Hospitality industry is moving ahead towards the digital and
contactless payment which help in reducing time and cost for Easy Hotel. Pandemic have
arouse the need for contactless payment which have enhanced the experience of
customer. Easy Hotel offers wide verities for the payment mode such as net banking,
money transfers, use of credit or debit cards and other online platforms such as Google
pay, Amazon pay etc. use of contactless payment customer can make payment from any
part of the world and can make reservations without visiting the hotel personally. Robots in Hotel and restaurants: Artificial intelligence have also captured the hospitality
segment where robots and other automatically operated machines have reduced the
efforts of humans and made the life easier than earlier. Easy Hotel welcome and greet

guests through these machines and also take help of robots at their restaurant while
serving and taking orders from customer (Filimonau and Mika, 2019). However, Robots
are also used in the Kitchen areas to prepare food and helping kitchen staff in other works
too. Use of Artificial intelligence have made the restaurants operations more easy and
highly interactive.
Mobile check-Inn service: Technology have taken place in the business firms also and
helping them in conducting business activities in an easier way then before. Easy Hotel
make use of application to manage and run its business operations. Another significant
recent trends that is adopted by hospitality industry is use of mobile technology while
check-inns and check-outs. Easy Hotel offer Mobile check-in services to their clients
along with managing their bookings, ordering food and interact with concierge partners
which ease them in getting in and out of the hotel without being interacted. With the use
of mobile customers can get into the room without the fear of key loss (Kaya and
Karatepe, 2020). Use of technology have enhanced the customer experience and made
easy for the business to serve them in a more personalised way.
