INTRODUCTION An organization is comprised of different functions, which make them able to retain buyers and sustain within market place for long. The current study will be based on TESCO, which falls under the world’s best supermarkets. This report will explain significance of varied business functions and their importance in context of working together. MAIN BODY Different venture functions of TESCO Marketing department- It is one of the most essential and beneficial functions of TESCO. This department is important because it help to reach at target market and generate brand awareness. It play significant role in promoting mission and products or services of chosen brand (Makhitha and Khumalo, 2019). It can be said that marketing department also contribute to promote accessible job vacancy in market where job seekers are accessible and search for the best employment chance within well reputed companies. Finance department- It is the main function of firm that is accountable for collecting and managing funds for company, and plans for further expenditure of money on different profitable things (Nuthalapati and et.al., 2020). This function along with above one is also important because it help TESCO to managetheiraccountsandinvestinvaluableactivitieswhicharequitebeneficialfor supermarket in term of increasing its sales rather than before. It provides manager with information important to make strategic judgment such as which projects or market to pursue. Human resource department- This function or unit is responsible for minimizing issues at workplace and increasing productivity rather than before. HRM is necessary for TESCO as it help to enhance performance level which in return increase profit margin of chosen brand in the future. By hiring new and skilled applicants at workplace by taking help to marketing department, human resource manager allow firm to gain competitive advantages. It is essential for supermarket because HRM look after hiring needs of business. Operation department- This unit assure that production and other operations are accomplished from beginning to finish.
