in present study, researcher has used positivism research philosophy. Positivism research
philosophy helps in analysing the case studies and helps researcher to gather relevant research
data.
Research Design: Research design is the plan which helps researcher to attain research questions
efficiently. There are several types of research design used by researchers in order to accomplish
research goals and objectives (Mackey and Gass, 2015). In present research project, researcher
has used descriptive research design.
Research Approach: Research approach is the plan consists of steps followed by researcher in
formulating broad assumptions to describing process of data collection. There two types of
research approach used by the researchers in order to carry out their research studies which are
deductive and inductive research approach (Lewis, 2015). In current study, researcher has used
inductive research approach. Inductive approach does not involve formulation of hypotheses. It
starts with research questions and aims and objectives that need to be achieved during the
research process.
Research Strategy: Research strategies are plans which devised by researcher in order to attain
the aim and objectives of research study. In the present research study, researcher has used
quantitative research strategy. Quantitative research strategy helps in analysing numerical data
effectively and efficiently. As data has been collected from questionnaire method, quantitative
research strategy assists in analysing the research data.
Data Collection: Data collection is the process of gathering and analysing research in effective
and efficient manner. There are two sources from where researcher acquired research data. These
are primary and secondary sources (Flick, 2015). From primary source researcher will collects
data using questionnaire research instrument. The questionnaire has been provided to the
teachers of Dorothy Barley Infant School. It consists of close ended questions and was directly
given to teachers by hand.
Sampling: Sampling is the process of taking small amount of data from large pool of
information. Sampling is considered as an essential and crucial process as collecting data from
large populations is pragmatically not possible for researcher. In the present research researcher

by using simple random sampling method has conducted survey with 20 teachers working at
Dorothy Barley Infant School.
Data Analysis: Data analysis is considered as essential process in the research study. There are
various approaches of analysing data and in the present research study, researcher has used
thematic analysis in order to analyse research data. Tables and charts has been used by researcher
so that analysis become more interactive.
Ethical Consideration: Researcher in the present research explained the motive of research
before conducting survey (Silverman, 2016). The consent of participants has been taken before
conducting research study. Furthermore, anonymity of participants has been maintained by
researcher.
Research Limitations: Researcher faced limitations like resistance of participants,
underestimation of budget, in data collection and analysis process. These issues acts as
obstruction which affects the effectiveness of the research.
P6 Communicating appropriate recommendations
After analysing the impact of Bug Club software digital technology at Dorothy Barley Infant
School, researcher provided few recommendations which can help both teachers and software
company in improving their software as well as way of teaching. Upgrading software: It was identified in the research analysis that current version of
software lags and crashed for no reasons (Reith, Carr and Gunsch, 2002). Teachers found
difficulties in managing the software. Thus, it is recommended to the management of Bug
Club software to update the version of software so that stability of software can be
enhanced. Installing more e-books and interactive lessons: From the analysis, it was identified that
teachers complained about lack of e-books and interactive stories or lessons have been
found on software. In order to enhance the efficacy of software, it is recommended to the
management of Bug Club software to install more e-books and interactive lessons so that
quality education can be provided. More user friendly systems: It is recommended to the software company to make more
user friendly systems so that teachers can use it appropriately and efficiently.

Providing training to teachers: In order to enhance the use of Bug Club software, it is
essential for school authorities to provide training to teachers so that their skills and
abilities can be increased (Manches, Bligh and Luckin, 2012).
P7 Reflection
The aim of my research was to analyse the impact of Bug Club software digital
technology in the Dorothy Barley Infant School. In this context, I have conducted research
analyses at Dorothy Barley Infant School where the management recently implemented Bug
Club Software to provide learnings to infants. It is one of the renowned school located at
Davington Rd, Dagenham RM8 2LL, UK. Digital technologies are widely used by the
management of organisations in order to reduce their cost, time and efforts and to improve the
quality and quantity of productivity. For this quantitative research, I have prepared questionnaire
and provided it to the participants of research which were teachers working in school. It consists
of close ended questions and was directly given to teachers by hand. I have selected
questionnaire survey method as it helps in collecting large amount of information at shorter
duration of time. To reduce my efforts, I have taken sample of 20 teachers randomly and
provided questionnaire to them. This also assists me to analyse the data more effectively. To
meet the objectives, I have asked questions which are related with digital technologies and
especially Bug club software. All the participants completely filled the questionnaire with
response rate of 100%. To attain the aim and objectives of my study, I have used thematic
analysis in order to analyse the collected data in more appropriate and effective manner. With
charts and tables, I have interpreted the data in brief and succinct manner which could help end
users to comprehend the research effectively and efficiently. I have provided some
recommendations to software company and school administration so that they can improve the
current version of software and current method of teaching so that quality of learning can be
enhanced. I have faced few limitations in research such as resistance of participants,
underestimation of budget, in data collection and analysis process. Though, I was able to
overcome these obstructions by following my plan and strategies. Thus, in this way I was able to
accomplish my aim and objectives.
