interaction with respondents, hence this is collected through one to one interaction (Swanwick
and McKimm, 2017). This source is used through questionnaire, personal interview, observation,
focus group, etc. For this study, personal source of information is questionnaire under which
some questions are asked with respondents about CPD. There is complete and specific way to
conduct study because this gives more accurate information. Researcher requires more time to
gather, organise and interpret this information. Secondary information is collected through online
sources which assist in creating base for conducting whole study. With the help of which
individuals are bale to understand and determine the concept properly and in appropriate manner.
Descriptive research design is used in this study with the help of which whole study will
be conducted with focusing on each and every aspect. When study justifies each and every
context, then researcher will ready to use it in future as well as secondary sources of information.
Sampling is the process through which some individuals are selected from whole crowd
and interpretation is provided by them on the basis of whole population. There are two methods
of sampling i.e. probable and non probable sampling (Andrews, 2017). In this study, simple
random probable sampling techniques is sued with the help of which reduces possibilities of
biasness because respondents are selected on random basis. 50 employees from BUPA are
selected because they have exact and relevant information about understanding it.
This is the study covers all the aspects of ethics and reliability because appropriate and
specific information is presented in this. Interpretation is based on information which is exact
and collected from authentic sources. All the sources which are used by researcher are accurate
and specific because of understanding and evaluating changes properly. Reader will also get
correct and exact information about CPD program. There is limitation of cost for conducting this
study. Researcher requires different resources such as stationary, internet connection,
membership card, proper place to conduct study, etc. with the help of which study can be
completed in appropriate manner. For all these resource expected budget set by researcher is less
because of lack of financial resources (Chapman,Chipchase and Bretherton, 2017). But

researcher can deal with this issue by managing and conducting research operations by multi-

with complexities because immediate and correct decision requires in dental hospitals is very
often that needs to be handling circumstances properly. Meanwhile, it has been evaluated that
health professionals must remain very careful and accurate when delivering medical facilities
because they have no probability of mistake in their working field. They should be always

It involves to maintain knowledge level of nursing staff about new developed dental infections
and disease with their effective treatments that will support to deal with relevant situations
easily. It has been founded that sometimes, an issue become critical for patient and professionals
are not able to understand about cause and treatment then CPD helps to take correct actions for
improving the medical situation.

The continuing professionals development is known to be an important and beneficial
factor which is required to be adopted in very organisation. It is helpful to achieve growth and
success in business by enhancing skills to employees respectively. However, it has been founded
that CPD is important but at the dame tie it is responsible for creating some of challenges in an
organisation. It requires the specific duration of time which should be extracted from working
hours which impact negatively on productivity of institution for that period of time. It is needed

that manager of BUPA should manage the working hours and allocate clinical practices to
nursing assistants in order to fulfil both requirements. It can be done through providing learning
to employees in small groups which facilitate to complete training along with managing work
load. Meanwhile, it is observed that proper planning and organising training vents are helpful to
deal with problem of hampering work can be sort out with ease. It has been evaluate that this
aspects is time and cost consuming but become more beneficial in future to attain growth as well
as success.
On the other hand, it has been identified that employees create problem many times due
to their work get hampered which develop demotivation among other individuals to participate in
development programs. However, it is necessary for mangers and leaders to motivate by their
words and make them understand about significance of CPD for their present as well as future
career. It will provide support to make nursing staff convinced to participate actively in learning
sessions which results into improved skills and capabilities. It is necessary to make more
effective as well as efficient plan of action which encourage dental nurse to learn about new
technological and clinical aspects which helps to increase the quality of medical services.
However, it has been identified that training sessions should be organised on the basis of
employee needs in regards to boost up entire organisational efficiency. It will facilitate to
increase goodwill of institution which helps to avoid actions of legal and government bodies
against them. People also want prefer the organisation by kept in mind about best services and
avoid other institution to gain facilities.
In addition to this, it has been evaluated that employee involvement is must which is
challenge because all the people do not agree on single thought about training program. It is
necessary to communicate with dental nurses in BUPA to make them understand about benefits
of particular learning session which provide support to take agreement of every individual on
single decision. It has been founded that manager should also focus on needs of employees and
ask them to share about their learning requirements according to which appropriate training
program should be organise that helps to overcome with challenge of employee resistance. It is
required for BUPA to utilise the innovative technique and strategies or providing knowledge to
dental nurses which helps them to deal with complicated situations easily.

From the above study, it has been concluded that continuing professional development
can be described as process of increasing skills and abilities of an individual on regular basis. It
includes the criterion of attaining learning abut specific professional area to enhance knowledge
level in order to become more perfect on work. However, it will provide support to develop
various career opportunities through which a person can gain growth as well as success in future.
It consist the way of pursuing course and studies for improving knowledge and way of using
tools in terms of achieving better results. Basically, the nursing staff must focus on the CPD
because they are dealing with lives of people and their profession requires extreme perfection
level which is necessary to make them disease free. It includes the criterion of working with
different types of clinical tools because it is very necessary for them carefully utilise instruments
to evaluate the dental issue in mouth of an individual. In addition to this, the seminars can be
attended, training programs and course can be done as they are helpful to make employees well
skilled and experienced that impact positively on patients outcomes. Meanwhile, CPD is
favourable to make nursing staff ware about their actual job roles and responsibilities so that they
can fulfil the desired clinical tasks in an appropriate manner. Moreover, training and learning
programs on regular basis are supportive for an individual as well as an organisation because it is
beneficial at both level by enhancing their efficiencies of working to attain better outcomes.
Furthermore, it includes several challenges which are faced by organisation while organising
learning events that are required to be managed by proper efforts of managers and leaders
accordingly. They should communicate about profits of training programs for employees then
they can pursue instructions which impact positively and improve patient outcomes.
Recommendations
Considering the above research, it has been recommended that continual professional
development is must among dental nurses to make them capable for dealing with different cases
of dentistry in proper way. It is necessary to make them understand about proper use of dental
instruments while evaluating mouth condition of patient in order to treat the specific problem
effectively. However, it has been suggested that raining events should be organised on the basis
of learning needs of employees and problem faced by nurses related to clinical aspects. In
addition to this, employees should make understand about forthcoming learning session and
motivate them to participate actively which impact positively on overall results of training

programs. It will provide support to dental nurses ins elected organisation to avoid complicated
situations and deal with them if by occur in order to save the patient. It is recommended to given
organisation to focus of learning aspects and ensure the organising the vents for increasing skills
of nursing staff on regular basis respectively.
