INTRODUCTION
IT is a business sector which deals with telecommunication, computing, hardware,
software and other which help in transfer information. These technologies use for development
and distributing data. IT is helpful in managing data whether it is in the form of text, voice, audio
and in some other form (Chen, 2014). It system is related to equipments which are use to deliver,
store and transfer the information one person to another and one organisation to another. This
report is about JS supermarket and the organisations that how they solve their problems related
to data storage and data security and what technologies and software they use for improvements.

1.1 Use of IT systems with different functions of an organisation
IT systems play an important role within the organisation because in present time every
organisation use them on a high level. IT systems art basically equipments which help the
organisation to run their business. There are functions of organisations which use IT systems and
help in JS supermarket to achieve their objectives or goals. These functions are as follows:
Use of IT system in Marketing
In this department IT system are use for doing marketing activities and market research.
Market research software collect data and get information about the customer's perceptions about
the product. By using advertising tools JS supermarket promote and advertise its product in the
market. By the use of product subsystem the organisation planning to provide information about
the new product. In telemarketing IT system use for increase the sales and promote the product
and CAD (Computer aided design) and CAE (Computer aided engineering) help in designing the
product.
Use of IT system in Finance
In finance department it use for financial forecasting and planning, manage payroll
records, inventory control records, mange transactions, fund management and internal auditing
etc. By using Excel and ROI the organisation manage its cash and budget (Dye, Reeder and
Terry, 2013). In this department the organisation use computer systems to manage portfolio and
automatically generate buy or sell orders.
Use of IT systems in Human Resources

In HR department it use in hiring, recruitment and selection process like telephonic and
skip interview it help in hiring and by providing information of recruiting by different websites
and in selection using computer systems for testes and others. This system use in organisation for
the attendance of the employees and using training and development systems to provide training
to the employees.
1.2 Contribution of IT systems to the achievement of objective in an organisation
In JS supermarket IT systems are help in achieve the organisation objectives by providing
various technologies. Every organisation have three main department marketing, finance and HR
department which help in to achieve organisational objective. In marketing department IT help in
product designing an engineering, product scheduling, quality control and provide various
facilities like planning, production costing and checking the quality of raw material. By
contribute in marketing this way IT help in achieving the organisation's goal. In finance field of
the organisation it help in maintain transaction which are related to buying and selling (Guo,
Zhang and Thalmann, 2012). By maintain account payable and receivable records it help the
organisation to achieve it objectives. In HR department IT systems support in providing
information regarding open position an d selection. This system help in human resource planning
or workforce management and making policies or providing training to the employees.
If all these department are run properly by using the information technology systems and
these IT system help in the departmental work, then an organisation achieve its objectives and
goals.

2. Different ways of IT systems store data and process data
IT systems use different ways, tools and techniques and equipments to store data and
process data. There are some management functions in which IT is used to manage the data.
They are as following:
Knowledge management
Knowledge is basically information, awareness and understanding about any thing
which support in a task and making decision. In Knowledge management the data and
information is store and process through knowledge management system. KMS is a system
which used applications to store the data and process it (Kuijken, Gemser and Wijnberg, 2017).

For this process it use content management systems, semantic networks, KM2.0, data
warehousing, data mining OLAP and document management systems etc. These systems are
used by knowledge management for data manage and distribute and process of it because every
organisation have huge amount of data and information.
Customer relation management
It is a methodologies and tools or techniques which are used by the organisations
for managing the organization relation towards the consumer. The main purpose of CRM is help
in the business by using technology and human resources (Ni and Jin, 2012). CRM use for CRM
software like Bpm'online and HubSpot CRM to store, process data and providing information to
its customer it can use social media like face book, Instagram and others.
Data management
In data management JS supermarket can manage data in various
ways but most important tool is software. In the organisation it is important that where should be
this manage. It can be calles data storage and this problem solve by the use of software it can
store and process its data properly. There are some software which help the organisation to
manage its data like, Apache Hadoop, Microsoft HDInsight, NoSQL, Hive, Presto, Excel and
PolyBase etc.
Communication management
Customer communication management is a software that I used by the company to
communicate with their customers and others to know the customers needs and preference. It get
data from its customers in the form of comments and feedback or collect and process this data by
the use of some software like Goggle drive, Data hygiene database software, electronic
document archive software and OOXML software.

3. Use of IT systems to support value added change for improving business operations,
performance and sustainability
IT systems help and support value added change in JS supermarket for improving the
business operation of an organisation, improve its performance and improve the sustainability by
providing some services such as:

Training- In the organisation it use different IT systems to provide information to its
employees and employers (Rackley III and et. al., 2018). Now these days every company use
digital systems so they provide training through projectors, online training and other internet
systems which improve the employees knowledge and the performance and the sustainability of
the company increase and enhance. By using these systems it can add some extra value like
employees are motivate for doing their work in better way.
Technology- Every day a new technology arise which are helpful in improving business
operation, performance and make a business sustainable. By using better promotional
technologies like Facebook, Instagram and web media etc. which are help in the improvement of
the company and added value in their products. For sales they provide different applications like
Amazon, club factory and others sites.
Converting raw data into information- By using IT systems organisation improve
operations and performance by them. If an organisation use IT systems it use them for their
customers so that it can provide better services by knowing their need and testes or preferences.
When the organisation collect basic information or raw data them it convert it in information and
provide the products and services according the customers need. And for value addition it can
provide some extra benefits. For example, if a car company manufacturing cars and they provide
some extra services like AC then they provide this service as added value for the customer
(Vickers, 2013).

IT systems provide various solution for organisation that cover a range of business
problems which are occurs in the workplace. Here, these problems are discuss through the
organisation, these organisations are retail and banking sector organisation.
Retail sector
It is a process or way by which good s and services of an company are purchase and
sales. In the retail sector there are various services and products are provide the customer through
various channels. In this process the retailer use different IT software for selling and purchasing
the goods or services. There are various problem generate which are related to the storage cloud
and security cloud.

Storage cloud- There are various problem generate in a company related the storage like storage
of data related to the goods and sources which are used by the company (Yang, and et. al., 2015).
Total information of that data that how much goods are sold and purchase, this information is
stored by the company by using IT systems but some time data is missed and problem raised to
get back this data.
In retail business there are large amount of data customer data, product data and data of
various retail channels. For solving this problem company should use software like Chrome Data
Saver etc, goggle drive, one drive, Box, Dropbox, SugarSync and IDrive etc.
Security cloud- Cloud security is the protection of the data which stored online. There are in
large amount of data and this data have the information about the customers and the
organisations so the security of this data is most important. At present time all work are done
through online so the need of data security is high. The major threats which are occurs in cloud
security are data breaches, data loss, account hijacking, service traffic hijacking and poor choice
of clod storage providers or insecure application program interferes (Goldman and Dalibard,
2014). There are some methods of IT systems like cloud security include firewalls, penetration
testing , virtual private networks and avoiding public intranet connection etc. which help in
providing cloud security.
Banking sector
It is a section of finance and economy where data is transfer daily on the high basis. Here
the economy devoted holding financial assets for others investing financial assets and create
wealth and profit. There are various problems and threat generate related the data because data is
transfer here in a large amount and the issue of storage and security is create.
Storage cloud- There are many transactions are done by the banks or their customers so it is a
problem that where should be they store their clean data, dirty data and real time data. If the
banks are not have special and sufficient storage there are high chance of data hacking because
every work are done through many IT systems and online so these chances are high to leak data
and information which is related to its customers. For solving this problem the banks use
database management systems for storage of the data, IBM software, CentreDoc, DigiARK,
DocLinks and SupplyLinks etc.
Security cloud- This cloud provide security to the data and the information. In banking sector
there are various transaction and other things are generate related the finance and economy and

for the security the banks use security cloud. In banks there are some data is related to the
customers information, for secure it banking use IBM cloud that act as tamper proof for the
verified information of the bank and help in the clients to check transactions (Dye, Reeder and
Terry, 2013). EBANQ, it is a user friendly online banking software,TEMENIOS T24, Interact,
Finacle, Apex banking Software, SDEMS, Capital Global Banking, CorePlus, and NovoDaba are
some It software which are use by the banks to protect the data and the provide the security to its
customers from data leakage and hacking (Chen, 2014).
CONCLUSION
In this report it is concluded that Information management systems are useful for an
organisation. IT systems are basically all material computer systems, servers, network equipment
and other computer hardware and software which are used by an organisation to manage its
functions, improve its performance, business operations and sustainability. In this report, analyse
the use of it systems in different functions of organisations and the contribution of these systems
in achieving the objectives. It is also define clearly that how an organisation store and process its
data for knowledge management, customer relationship management, communication
management and data management. The problem and the solution are also provide for the
organisation context. If in any organisation any issues create then it can be solved by the IT
systems.
