This report discusses the general theories of communication, including Weber's Class theory of organisation, Tompkins and Cheny's organisational control theory, and Deetz's Managerialism theory. It also evaluates the impact of different barriers to communication, such as physical, emotional, linguistic, psychological, and cultural barriers, on employee willingness to return to the office. Finally, it outlines different strategies to overcome these barriers, such as being aware of language, tone, and message, consulting others before communication, communicating according to the needs of the receiver, ensuring consistency of message, and following up on communication.
