This assignment involves a comprehensive study of onshoring experiences from a postcolonial perspective. It primarily focuses on two case studies: one examining the experiences of Western female expatriates working in the United Arab Emirates (Harrison & Michailova, 2012), and another investigating knowledge and investment flows from highly skilled British onshorings in Vancouver to the UK (Harvey, 2012). Additionally, it considers the influence of distance factors on New Zealand onshorings' cross-cultural adjustment (Jenkins & Mockaitis, 2010) and repatriation trends among self-initiated onshorings (Tharenou & Caulfield, 2010). The assignment also evaluates research methodology in relevant fields like construction productivity studies (Panas & Pantouvakis, 2010), supply chain management (Soni & Kodali, 2012), and human resource management (Varma et al., 2011).
