INTRODUCTION
Tourism refers to the activity which allow individuals in spending their time in exploring
different places for various purposes. There are various reasons for tourism such as pleasure,
recreation and relaxation. It can be said as modern social arrangement which includes number of
services. Tourism is responsible in increasing the revenue of economy, develops required
infrastructure, creates varied number of jobs and exchange different cultures. It creates direct and
indirect impact on the society by improving lifestyle and standard of citizens. People get
influenced with the help of different cultural and social norms which results in diversity. It can
easily promote equality in the society by providing equal job opportunities. This effectively
create positive environment in society which is beneficial for each and every individual. People
tend to participate in improving the services of tourism by contributing their efforts. It effectively
improve the brand image of country where tourism is promoted by the stakeholders. Individuals
should take participation in highlighting the culture and history of the place which improves its
uniqueness. This report aims to discuss about tourism industry and how can it become more
accessible for travellers. Statistics are used to provide information about accessibility and
availability to different international destinations. The economic impact of tourism is also
discussed in this report. The emergence of new market in tourism industry is facilitated which
fulfil consumer needs. The rise of Olympics and events can increase the tourism which can
increase the economy. How can this impact the experience and travel expectations of tourists are
included in this report. Impact of tourism industry should be considered in context to equality
and discuss the impact of tourism on international destination.

Tourism refers to the activity of travelling and exploring different environment. There are
various purposes which are used as a reason for travelling such as for professional work,
spending leisure time or for personal pleasure. Tourism plays important role in exchanging the
factors of culture one one country to another (Sharpley, 2018). It promotes diversity so that
individuals learn about different things. It improves their knowledge and understanding which is
positive factor contributed by the tourism industry. Accessible tourism aims to improve the
services and products related to the tourist destinations. It eliminates physical limitations such as

age and disabilities in order to assess the products and services. It includes all the public as well
as private locations for the tourist so that they can enhance their tourism experience. Tourism
sector is considered one of the main activities which contributes in the development of economy.
It is accountable for the contribution of 10.3% of total global GDP. It is simultaneously increased
in 2021 by +21.7% which shows positive growth. In 2020, due to coronavirus pandemic there
can be seen downfall in the contribution by tour and travel which is decreased to 5.3%. It is
measured as the third largest export sector of overall global economy(Anwar, Hadian and
Khadijah, 2020).
Tourism industry is highly responsible for generating new job opportunities for
individuals. It includes services like hotels and accommodations which assist local citizens in
getting jobs in their own places. It lower down the rate of relocation of citizens for finding jobs
to other places (Konovalova and et.al, 2019). Tourism specific policies are developed by the
host country which ensures that tourists can experience their travel in best possible manner. It
effectively changes employment rate and income level of the society which is positive factor for
growth and success. Tourism also increase the demand and supply of local products and food
such as handicrafts, famous cuisines, etc. Hospitality industry experience higher growth with the
assistance of tourism sector as tourist avail services from them during the time of travelling. It
improves the stability and sustainability rate for longer period of time. Stakeholders also get
benefits with the help of tourism as they can grow their respective businesses by provisioning
services to tourists. They involve themselves in improving products and services in better
manner so that overall industry can generate higher revenues. It directly increase the GDP ratio
of country which is essential for their further growth (Stončikaitė, 2022).
There can be seen various emerging markets in tourism industry which includes all the
services and products which satisfy the demands of customers. It is important to understand the
behaviour of customers so that they can attract large number of tourist on regular basis. Large
number of hotels, restaurant, cafe and other accommodative are developed so that tourists do not
face challenges (Scott and Selwyn, 2021). Local citizens can increase their personal income be
developing effective infrastructure. Development of infrastructure provides number of
opportunities to youth so that they can built their career. There are various international
destinations which help in contribution of growth and expansion of overall tourism industry.
Development of new market increase the demand of local products which diversify the local

culture in different international destinations. It becomes motivational factor large number of
tourists in order to visit the host country. People attracted towards the destinations in context to
avail services which are new to them. There are various reasons to visit particular destination
which also includes events and games. For example, Olympics increased the number of visitors
in particular country. This includes large number of games and events which help host country in
enhancement of revenue generation (Fukui and Ohe, 2020).
The expectations of travellers should be focused by travel organisations and other
stakeholders of tourists so that they can increase regular number of tourists. Some of the tourism
organisations involve technological advancements so that they can improves the services and
products (Spector and Higham, 2019).The experience of customers should be appropriately
improved so that they can develop their interest for further travelling. There are various modes of
travelling transportations which are used according to the location and destination. For travelling
international countries it is preferred to use airways and on the other hand road transportations
can be used for domestic destinations. It is recommended that trips should be planned on prior
basis so that tourists does not face any miss convenience in experiencing their journey. It is
important to study each and every factor related to the travel so that plans are formulated in
appropriate manner(Skavronskaya and et.al, 2020).
In case of Tourism, there are various positive and negative impacts of Tourism on the
society and global destinations. When it comes to positive impact, the Tourism basically results
in creation of demand for the food and local crafts, offers new facilities for the Tourists, offers
job creation opportunities and brings more money for the country (Hasse, 2022). For example,
the construction of roads results in benefiting the local individuals. With the support of Tourism,
it supports in offering job opportunities which mostly comprises Tertiary Jobs. Also there are
various negative factors which result in bad consequences. Due to Tourism, it generally results in
Overcrowding and Traffic Jams and also the prices of local shops has been increased due to
Tourists. Various Countries basically relies on the Tourism and the reduction in the number of
Tourists arises due to various natural disasters such as Floods, War and Unrest (Moneva,
Bonilla-Priego and Ortas, 2020).
With reference to Tourism, the Gender Pay gap is much less when it comes to Tourism
Industry as the females who work in the Tourism sector earns approximately 14.7% less as
compared to men in the economy. In case of Tourism sector, it generally comprises of different

challenges and issues which further involves sexual harassment, working conditions, low
education and training, discrimination, poor pay, bad culture and instability in politics which
basically leads to reduction in the number of visitors (Peng and Xiao, 2018).
Gender Equality and Women Empowerment are basically considered to be the major
fundamental components of equitable society. With Reference to Tourism, the sector has played
a very important role in offering opportunities and also the different benefits helps in making a
difference in different areas. Through Tourism, the females can enjoy more opportunities in
relation to the work, income, development of skills, education and equal opportunities to access
to the resources, control, finance, technology and much more. When it comes to organizations,
one named as “Equality in Tourism” which is a non profit company working for the objective to
promote gender equality in different destinations around the world. The concept of Destination
Development can be basically described as the strategic planning and advancement of defined
areas for the objective to show support to the evolution of the desirable destinations for the
travellers. In context to Sustainability, it basically covers Tourism experience which also
comprises of social, environmental and economic issues and also paying attention for the
objective to improve the overall experience of Tourists and also paying emphasis on addressing
the need of the host community (Mkono and Hughes, 2020).
With reference to Ethical Tourism, it generally involves keeping in mind the effects of
one individual actions as a traveller on the environment and local community. The issue of
Equality is considered to be one of the major issues in today's environment. In relation to
Tourism, it can basically offer an alternative for the women where they can engage in
community leadership, activism and political realm alongside with providing opportunities for
entrepreneurship and employment. In case of countries, there are highly keen in order to develop
tourism for the objective to improve the people and individual's quality life and to become rich.
With the support of Tourism, it results in boosting up revenue of the economy, development of
infrastructure and creation of thousands of job opportunities. In case of Negative Impact, it
generally involves loss of natural habitat, soil erosion, more pressure on the endangered species
and increased pollution (Lin, Zhang, Gursoy, and Fu, 2019).

CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that tourism generates higher revenues in the
country. It promotes growth and equality which is essential for longer term survival. Tourism
create direct impact on the society by generating number of job opportunities. It is required that
tourism should be accessible so that tourists can enjoy their trips and travels (Stone, 2018). Host
country have to include services and products which provides highest benefits to the travellers.
Tourism industry should adopt some of the changes and alterations in their tourism policies so
that it can eliminates different factors which are negative. There are large number of positive
factors contributed by tourism industry which improves the growth of society. It boost the rate of
profitability and revenue generation in effective manner. Country can experience improved
infrastructure which is the attractive factor for travellers. On the other hand there are some of the
negative impacts are also analysed in context to travel and tourism such as higher pollution and
population in society. This report includes discussion about tourism industry and its contribution
and impact on the society. The new markets are explored which are emerged for satisfying the
needs and expectations of the customers. Different events and games are organised by the
countries which results in higher rate of tourist in the country. Travel experiences and
expectations are analysed by the tourism industry so that they can provide all the possible
benefits. Different negative and positive factors are identified in context to tourism industry in
this report.
