the smallest state within India in terms of area and it is fourth-smallest in terms of the
population. There are many international along with the domestic tourists who visit the place
of Goa in every year for the sand beaches and for the natural beauty of the place. This report
discusses about the tourist market potential and the transport development of Goa. The report
states that leisure tourists comprise of a large segment of the tourists who visit the place so

as a perfect canvas for that of sunrise along with the sunset that helps in attracting the
tourists. The leisure tourists visit the holiday destination and spend quality time along with
one’s partner. The leisure tourists visit the place so that they can try out the adventure sports
in the holiday destination (Pawaskar and Goel 2017). Beaches and the night camps of Goa
provide place for the tourists that helps the people in the celebration of golden moments.
Party culture of Goa helps in attracting the people who travel with the friends so that they can
enjoy themselves. There are “ashrams” within Goa that are visited by the tourists so that they
can seek good health. In the earlier times, the people were guided by the saints. The yoga and
the meditation that is practised in Goa helps in providing relaxation to the tourists who visit
the place. They can relieve themselves from the drudgery of their life and Goa helps them in
maintaining their mental equilibrium.
Transport Development
There has been significant development in relation to rail travel within Goa that has
come up with commissioning of Konkan Railway line. It has reduced the rail distance that
helps in the growth of tourism. The rail circuits being easily formed in between Goa,
Karnataka and the Maharashtra that has fomented the growth of the aspect of tourism within

2015). The plan has provided direction that has helped in the development of the transport
infrastructure within Goa. Public transport in Goa mainly consists of the private buses that
helps in linking the towns to the rural areas of Goa. There are a large number of
autorickshaws in Goa that helps the tourists in Goa. The motorcycle taxi is a mode of
transportation in Goa that helps the tourists in travelling from one place to another in Goa.
There are ferry boats in Goa that helps in the travelling of the tourists within Goa (Karmali
and Ramesh 2015). The leisure tourists who visit the place can easily travel with the help of
the varying modes of the transport that proves to be extremely convenient for the tourists.

helps the tourists within Goa. Technology is used in relation to the mode of the transportation
within Goa that greatly works to the benefit of the tourists.

The current trends in relation to Accommodation Development has influenced the
development of Goa. Growth is the main objective of a business and the hotels want to grow
with the passing of the time. Accommodation facility is an important component in relation
to tourism products. The deficiency pertaining to accommodation can deprive tourists for
visiting the tourist destinations. There are different kinds of category pertaining to
accommodation within Goa like the budget hotels, mid-range hotels, up market hotels and the
rental hotels for the long term within Goa. The budget hotels help in serving the needs of
budget-minded traveller and it provides furnished rooms at a low cost to the tourists. There
are mid-range hotels within Goa that are found throughout Goa and they comprise a large

Europe and the tourists can take accommodation in these hotels that helps in serving the
demands of the tourists. There are many up market hotels in Goa which can be found in the

place want the hotels that are of international standard that can serve the tourists. The resorts
have the restaurants that has various kinds of cuisines and gym facilities that helps in serving
needs of the tourists. There are many travellers specially the foreigners who want to spend a
large amount of time in a particular location that can help them in enjoying the serene beauty
of the holiday destination of Goa (Pawaskar and Goel 2016). These kinds of tourists want to
rent the house for a month so that they can enjoy the beauty of Goa. The tourists stay together
that plays an important role in bringing down cost.

Goa has potential risks along with crisis that should be considered by the destination
managers for increasing the popularity of the holiday destination. The tourism within Goa

of the roads are very bad in Goa and this should be thought about by the destination managers
