The tourist spots in any nation certainly attracts many individuals and groups from all
over the world to visit the particular place as this does not only enhance the popularity but
certainly it does also creates an effective flow of earning in the tourism sector of the particular
nation. The present report is based on such a growing and developed organisation in the tourism
sector of the United Kingdom. the project is prepared in the aspects of various services, and
amenities provided by the tourism industry. The Tilston hotel of United Kingdom is here
consider as the main organisation to study the overall dimension of hotel and resorts. The hotel is
comprised of the Carden Park Hotel and the Golf resort. The main emphasis of the hotel’s
marketing department is to targeting the most favourable segment in the market in order to grab
the attention of the most potential customer in the markets and then influence them in such a way
that they can be attracted towards the features and distinctiveness of the hotel. The report is
going to analyse different points including the issues and challenges that the management within
the hotel faces while its multiple level of operations and functions. The business plan is also
formulated in favour to plant and position each and every strategy at the respective stage of
process with that the organisation can significantly accomplish the goals and objectives in longer
term of working.

There are different kinds of resorts which are established in the hotel and tourism industry
with their very own purposes of serving. These resorts are differentiated on the type of services,
nature, location and etc. these resorts are accumulated with the use of them for the relaxation,
leisure, entertainments and work purposes. The resort is generally considered as the place where
people can enjoy and entertain themselves through various leisure activities. The resorts are of
various types that are preferred by different kind of tourists. The resorts with different nature are
hereby:-
Beach resort: These kind of resorts are situated widely on the beach side of any popular
spot. The coastal areas and nature based food gives the authentic simplicity and certainly
also effective to give a relaxing and unforgettable experience of the sea sight to the

visitors. It can be identified as these resorts are the centre of attraction for those who are
fond of beaches and oceans. The beach hotels and resorts are effectively enabled to attain
the goals as the good marking along with the reputation and interior if the resort matter a
most and the nearness to the sea and other water bodies is also a crucial part that can
lavish the standards of the beach resort.
Island resort: The most distinctive ranges of resort fall in the category of island resort as
these are situated in very remote and coastal areas on the different islands. The targeting
of these resorts is done on those tourists who willing to spend a huge money on the
vacation and want a luxurious and elegant place for staying and enjoying various other
entertaining and leisure activities
Spa resort: The spa resorts are such resorts that contain the exquisite facilities and great
relation to the visitors. The spa resorts are basically comprised off all the motives that are
essential in order to target those segment of tourists who spend their holidays for the
solely purpose of care and deep relaxation. The spa facility in any resort provides the
limited yet standard services while the spa resorts on the other hand the offers an end to
end services with the edged amenities towards their respective visitors
Ski Resorts: These resorts are an effective addition to the mountain and snowy regions
that certainly creates the opportunities for the locals as well as for the tourism industry to
generate the earnings through operating in the natural climate and providingleisure
amenities and sports like slopping, skiing, hot water pools and etc. The ski schools and
the contrary resort are the beneficial elements that attract the adventure friendly tourists
to visit the place and undergo with the respective activities in the snow.
Challenges in maintenance of resorts:
Changing consumer expectation: With the increased advancement in technology and
capability of customers to spend more so that their experiences can be enhanced their
preferences regarding the services at resorts are changing which becomes difficult for
resorts to address and this lead to decrease in the sales of the resorts.
Renovation plus maintenance: For bringing renovations in the resort so that the needs
and wants of customers can be met a large amount of investment needs to be applied by
