more. In this regard, such elements are given as under:
Research Philosophies: This is about having broad knowledge regarding particular
phenomenon. It shows believes of researcher about chosen aspect so that the entire project work
can be accomplished in systematic manner. Further, this likely to create wide knowledge in the
mind of researcher in order to carry out the project appropriately. There are two major types of
research philosophies such as interpretivsim and positivism. In context of interpretivism, it is
based on analyzing the existing information in subjective form whereas positivism is related to
assess the available information based on the objective analysis. It is based on using numerical
forms and numbers to conduct the further analysis significantly. While selecting a suitable
philosophy, it is imperative to consider the nature of study (Davidavičienė, 2018). In present
case, there is selection of positivism philosophy where the information will analyze based on the
numbers to get authentic and valuable outcomes in future.
Research Approach: The second layer of research methodology is approaches of
research which help the investigator in terms of completing the entire project work within
stipulated period of time. Further, a plan is provided in research approach so that research can
easily attain stipulated goals successfully. In this regard, deductive and inductive are two majorly
used approaches (Iovino and Tsitsianis, 2020). In case of deductive approach, an existing theory
is analyzed profoundly whereas a new concept is developed while following inductive approach.
Based on present study, deductive approach has been selected as it will guide the investigator in

strategy is survey strategy as it will help investigator in gathering huge amount of information
from ample number of participants within limited period of time.
Choice of method: To complete the project work effectively, there is requirement to
make selection of suitable method. In this regard, there are two methods can be used by the
researcher such as qualitative and quantitative. In case of quantitative method, statistical and
mathematical tools are used to analyze the available information with an aim to get valid &
reliable outcomes. On the other hand, qualitative method is based on collecting in-depth &
detailed information based on non-numerical tools (Daniel and Harland, 2017). In present
scenario, the study is based on quantitative method where data will be analyzed by using
different tools such as graphs, charts, tables and more to get authentic results.
Time Horizon: It is related to determine the time period for timely completion of project
study. Cross-sectional and longitudinal are two major time horizon. Out of these two, cross-
sectional time horizon has been selected for completing the current project work within

gathered through questionnaire. Here, questionnaire will help in terms of collecting information
from various respondents. Along with this, secondary data has also been collected through ample
of websites, publications, books, journals and more.
Sampling: Sampling is an important step wherein units are included in sample to
simplify the overall study. While conducting a project, it is quite complex to consider the entire
population. Hence, samples are chosen so that entire research project can be completed within
stipulated period of time. There are two major methods of sampling such as probability and non-
probability (Clandinin, Cave and Berendonk, 2017). In present case, there is selection of
probability sampling where nearly 30 employees of ASDA have been chosen as samples for
successfully completing the project work.
Ethical considerations: Following suitable ethics is imperative for timely and effective
completion of project work. For this purpose, there are ample of ethical principles are followed
in terms of confidentiality, anonymity and more (Knottnerus and Tugwell, 2018). In this context,
