Company has attained good position in the retailindustry by serving products or services at reasonable prices. Marks & Spencer offersemployment opportunity to the large segment of people and thereby makes contribution in thedevelopment of economy. In the present time, company is facing problems in relation to the lowlevel of employee’s performance and productivity. Services offered by the personnel oforganization have high level of influence upon the satisfaction and loyalty aspect of customers.In the retail industry, skills and competencies of human resources play a vital role in evolvingsatisfaction among the customers and thereby help in maximizing the productivity andprofitability of firm. Employee’s sales and performance are highly associated with the trainingand development session which helps them in upgrading their skills, knowledge andcompetencies (Dhar, 2015). In the present era, organizations which operate in retail industry failto make emphasis on the training and development aspect. But, success of such industry is highlydependent upon the skills and abilities of employees.
