Transformational leadership in health care industry
The transformational leadership theory is something where the leader is known for
working with the specific organization in order to identify needed change, creates a vision in
order to guide the change throughout the organization. The transformational leadership style is
known for serving the employees with huge amount of motivation, increases the morale and
allows better job performance to the employees. However according to the author Bergerum,
Josefsson & Wolmesj (2019) the main concept of transformational leadership was first brought
in or started by the author James V. Downtown in the year of 1973, which was further expanded
by the author James Bur in the year of 1978. Therefore this concept of leadership style is known
for particularly being more effective in terms of increasing the company production of bringing
in effectiveness among the employees working in the company. This model of transformational
leadership is known for thus encouraging the leaders to demonstrate authenticity, build strong
leadership skills and develop creativity as an idea which help the employees to follow the same
suit.
The transformational leaders in the organization increases the job performance of the
employee so as by connecting the employee morale and identifies the importance of the goals in
the company. Transformational leaders act as a role model for the followers to take great
ownership of work and understanding the strength in the organization. The leaders are also
helpful in a way by enhancing the performance of the employees and align the self
responsibilities with the goals of the company or particular business organization (Batalden
2018).
