In slide 11, I have explained the major aspects and traits of transformational leaders and
how it helps in creating a better workplace where employees are highly motivated and
encouraged. This slide discuss how transformational leaders provide effective assistance in
supporting various job roles and positions. There are various job roles and responsibilities in the
chosen retail sector; Tesco and employees need consistent guidance and instructions as on how
they are supposed to perform the tasks. Through the information covered in this slide, I have
evaluated that Encouraging employees and inspiring them is the main motive of a
transformational leader. They work upon their personality so that they could be able to influence
and persuade employees to perform better. In slide 11, I understood that being a transformational
leader take years of experience and practice and it is definitely not an easy task to inspire
employees in a manner so that their interests aligns with that of the organisational motives. I
have developed my interpretative skills during preparation of various slides in this assignment. I
have analysed what are the crucial skills and traits that are required to become a transformational
leader which must be able to lead changes. A transformational leader is required to work upon
his communication skills, interpersonal skills, persuasive skills and in various other areas for the
purpose of grooming his personality and constructively apply the theory into practice
(Siangchokyoo, Klinger and Campion, 2020). I have understood that a transformational
leadership style is one of the most effective style of operating a multinational enterprise because
such leaders are able to implement changes in highly effective manner. In a multinational
enterprise such as Tesco where operations and employees are expanded on a high scale, through
practising transformational theory of leadership, it would be able to push workers to optimise
their potential even in situations of uncertainty where employees are demotivated and unwilling
to work. I have learned that in order to become a transformational leader in future, I have to
develop a range of skills and build my confidence because leading a group that will bring
transformation requires highly persuasive skills. I have to work upon my communication skills
and the ability to inspire and motivate groups to make the best out of available resources.
In slide 12, the importance of transformational leadership is explained in relation to
cross-cultural management. Tesco is a leading organisation which has its presence and operates
in numerous countries including Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, Malaysia, US, japan and
many other regions. In order to lead an enterprise which is widely expanded in various countries

and has to consider cultural sensitivity of nations which shows major differences on various
cultural dimensions. Leading employees belonging to different backgrounds and having
differences in assumptions, values, beliefs and attitude, transformational leadership is the most
effective theory applicable in this context (Mahmood, Uddin and Fan, 2018). Through
emphasizing upon importance of different cultures, transformational leaders must be able to deal
with a group of employees which have differences in viewpoints and thoughts. Through this
slide, I have understood that transformational leadership is the theory which reflects and suggests
effective practices and styles which must be adopted in order to lead an enterprise on
multinational level. Through researching content for this slide, I have evaluated that
transformational leadership is the most appropriate and suitable theory in cross-cultural
management. I have examined that while operating the enterprise on a global level with its
activities in various regions, a leader must be able to promote changes and deal with situations of
conflicts and chaos which could be a result of differences of perceptions due to variety of
cultural trends prevailing in different nations. I have evaluated that a transformational leader
would be able to deal with conditions of crisis and implements changes even in nations where
consequences of changes are colliding with their cultural values and aspects. For instance, if
leaders have to implement a more flat and open communication system in place of a hierarchical
structure, countries with high power distance store would oppose the change as they expect the
unequal distribution of power which needs no further justification. In such situations,
transformational leaders would be able to lead change through persuading and influencing
perceptions of staff of a particular nation. They would try to implement change through
motivating them that changes will leads to better results and fast decision making and is in
favour of both employees and enterprise. From this slide, I have understood that transformational
leaders must possess traits which helps them in dealing with cross-cultural management.
In slide 13, the nature of transformational leadership is further elaborated and stated in
relation with management of Tesco. Through information covered in this slide, I learnt that
Tesco adopts practices and styles of transformational leadership which help the company in
cross-culture management and understanding various cultural trends and aspects which is
prevailing within its branches spreaded worldwide (Alrowwad and Abualoush, 2020). I have
analysed from this slide that the leaders of Tesco tries to aligning the organisational practices
conducted in its parent nation with practices of its host country. The leaders of the company
