INTRODUCTION
Present report is based on TUI operations related with the tourism sector. Report tells
about the main key development which takes place in travel and tourism sector. Travel and
tourism is one of the fastest growing industries and helps in improving the economy of the
country. Government plays an important role in increasing the number of visitors in the country.
(Peeters and Dubois, 2010). The main aim of this assignment is to study how local and national
economic policies affect number of visitors. The main factors which impact the tourism demand
are also described under this. There are number of factors which affect the visitors to visit the
different places , factors can be personal or can be social.
TASK 1
1.2 Structure of the travel and tourism sector
Structure means how the tourism industry really works or how all the components of its are
interrelated and work to achieve the results. Mainly it includes six components: Attractions: Attractions in the tourism industry can be either natural or man made.
Natural attractions include lake, beach or can be many more which attract a large number
of visitors each year(Deery, Jago and Fredline, 2012). Man made attractions include
theme parks, London tower and many more. These man made attractions attract a large
number of visitors every year. Transport: Transport is one of the main part of tourism sector. Visitors use various
transport modes to go to the destination. Without transportation the activity of travelling
can not be take place by the visitor because visitors need different modes of
transportation like buses, railways or airways to go to the different places. Tour operators: Tour operators produce various holidays packages for the visitors with
the effective facility of accommodation and food. Tour operators tries to make an
effective package for the public in order to deliver them value for money. Travel agents: Travel agents are the link between the tour operator and the public. Travel
agents sell the products of tour operators to the public(Seetanah, 2011). Travel agents
contact directly with the customers and try to influence them to to visit various places.

Tourism development: Today number of developments takes place in the tourism. Boards
provide important information to the public. These development commissions try to
inform the visitors about the various destinations
Number of changes takes place in the tourism sector and its structure. TUI also changes its
structure or working pattern in order to attract large number visitors to the various destinations
every year (Erkuş-Öztürk and Eraydın, 2010). To make a destination more attractive or popular
governments tries to strengthening or improve the social conditions.

2.3 The implications of the political changes on the travel and the tourism sector in the different
countries.
Political factors or situations prevail in the country affect the needs and demands of the
tourist. Political stability in a country encourage the situations of stability and safe environment
and attract large number of visitors in order to visit the country. On the other hand political
instability encourage the condition of instability and create a negative image in the mind of the
customers or visitors. Political stability influence the visitor decision. So to attract a large
number of visitors in the country it is necessary to first maintain the political factors in that
country.
Government of country makes policies or rules for different industry and it become liable
for every industry to follow the same other it will give rise to a legal action. If government of
country changes the policies related with tourist destination than it will affect the number of
visitors come in that country. Political change can either increase the number of visitors or can
decrease. Attractiveness of a country get affected by policies set by government. If there are
unsafe conditions at a country that that place will fail to attract large number of visitors on the
other hand safe and hygienic conditions automatically attracts large number of customers.
Various policies and rules or regulation made by the government affect the activities of
tourism in different countries. For example political stability in the Turkey will attract large
number of tourists there on the other hand political unstability of Thailand negatively affect the
tourism activities and and decrease the number of tourists there. For this to attract large number
