INTRODUCTION
Change can be defined act of moving business from where it is now to where it needs to
be in the future. It is key element of success and great growth of companies which make a firm
able to grab accessible opportunities, while operate its venture within specific industry. The
current assignment will be based on TESCO and Sainsbury’s, which falls under category of
leading supermarkets in the United Kingdom. This study will explain type of change companies
went through, PEST framework to determine external & internal forces of modification and will
also define implications of elements of change within each firm. Furthermore, this report will
describe appropriate suggestions in context of planning for change and implementing its impact
analysis. It will justify force field analysis implication in regard to company and then
recommendation that could help to meet objectives of firm. Moreover, this study will clarify
critical evaluation of varied approaches relate to leadership and models of change management
to handle with modification.

Overview of each company and form of change they went through
TESCO is well known brand in retail industry, UK; because it offer affordable services
and products to local people (Rosnizam and et.al., 2020). Company has sells approximately
40,000 food items in its supermarkets. In additional, it provides apparel and other non food
category products to customers, which is quite beneficial for firm in term of increasing its sales.
Supermarket and its management go through specific form of change and that is changing needs
of buyer.
Furthermore, Sainsbury is another chosen company that has also sustained its business
within similar sector where above firm has operated with skilled workforce. It sells excellent
quality of items to consumers in exchange of money. Supermarket utilizes cookies to aid
individual consumer the excellent experience on official site (Hertz and Halkier, 2017). Its
management source more than 12,000 branded items from over 70 nations. Firm offer groceries
and other services to people in effective and systematic manner. Technology change is one of the
types of changes Sainsbury went through it.
