INTRODCUTION Operation managementis related to designing and managing the production process. This means it is related to the planning, organising and coordinating the production of good services so that desired goals and objective are achieved. The major focus of operation management is to make the best use of the available resources so that the needs and demands of the customer's are fulfilled. Operation management tries to manage the logistics and supply chain management in the best possible manner(Becker-Ritterspach and Bruche,2012). This can be done by converting the raw materials of the organisation into final product with the motive of earning profit. Operation management is also related with the using technology, employee's, raw materials and resources in the effective manner. In this the production of the goods depends upon the need and requirements of the potential customer's.Logisticscan be defined as the process of organising the equipment and raw materials in the appropriate manner. This means managing, storing and transporting the goods to the final consumer for the sale. It is very necessary for the operation and logistics department to function in the coordinated manner so that the planned objectives are easily achievable and chances of errors are reduced. Each and every department in the organisation is inter- related and inter connected with each other so if the logistics and operation department does not function in the proper manner than the work of other department might also get affected. Jaguar is the biggest automotive organisation of United Kingdom. The company is the subsidiary of Tata Motors and acquisition of jaguar cars Ltd. In the year 2013the name of the organisation changed to Jaguar land rover automotive. The major objective of the organisation is to manufacture, design and sell good quality of vehicle bearing so that the profitability of the organisation is increased(Benur and Bramwell,2015). The organisation has approximately 43, 224 employee's working in the organisation with the motive of providing high quality and luxury vehicles to the potential customer's. This report will mainly focus on two major topics which are New product DevelopmentandLogistics Mix. As it is the major issue of the organisation to develop a new product and introduce it in the market. So in this New Product Development is introducing the new product in the marker or making some necessary innovations in the existing market. The new product in the organisation is launched after analysing the needs and situation of the market because after analysing the market conditions new product will not fail and chances of loss to the company will be reduced. Jaguar can launch a new car which will help the
customer's in providing safety from accidents. Logistics mix helps in planning and storing the productsoftheorganisationintheappropriatemanner.Itgenerallyconsistofvarious components such as distribution, transportation, storing and managing the inventory in the best possible manner. Jaguar can manage its logistics by planning and managing various things in advance so that the work of the organisation is not hampered and the goals are achieved easily. First choice of topic in this is NPD.This means new product development which is concerned with producing a new product in the market. New product can be launched by making best use of the opportunities available in the market. So in this Jaguar is introducing a new product which has some unique features(Christopher and Peck,2012). The new product introduced by the company is Jaguar land Rover Red which will have safety alarm sensors in the car. The alarm sensor is used in the car by using Assertive Technology method. For this company will make use of the Product Development Toolkit model(Product Development Toolkit,2016). This is basically a combination of tools which helps in developing a new product as per the needs of the customer's and also by making plans for savingand controlling the cost of the organisation. This model will also help in analysing the opportunities in the effective manner so that the manufacturing and assembling process is carried out in proper manner. With the help of this Quality function deployment can also be used by Jaguar. Quality Function Deploymentis the tool used for planning the product which has some special characteristics and which requires different manufacturing process. By using this model Jaguar will be introduce a new car which will have alarming sensors. These sensors will alert the passengers if the driver is in the state of unconscious or if driver is feeling sleepy. With the help of these sensors car will automatically stop which will directly reduce the chances of road accident and will promote road safety. This special feature in the car will directly help the organisation in enhancing the brand name of the organisation in the mind of customer's. Jaguar will also use target costing strategy to attract more and more customer's. According to this strategy the price of the car will decided according to its production cost and paying capacity of the customer's. As the target customer's of Jaguar is high and middle income class people so the price of the new product will be decided as per there paying capacity so that it is affordable for the customer's. The price of the car will also be according to the qualities and features imposed in the car(Clegg and et. al., 2013). The newly launched product will be satisfy the needs and demands of the customer's by taking logical and appropriate decisions. If the customer's are

suffering from any heath issues or suffer from the problem of getting unconscious while driving than this problem can be overcome if customer's choose to buy Jaguar Land Rover Red. Organisation in this will prepare a different set of cost sheet which will consist of various cost such as- scrap cost, manufacturing cost and material cost.Design for assemblymodel can also be used by the manufacturing department of Jaguar. As this model will help in reducing the manufacturing and assembling cost in the best possible manner. This can be done if all the necessary parts of the car will get assembled at one place. The sensors, alarm and other necessary parts can be assembled at one place. This can be done by preparing evaluation worksheet in the proper manner with the help of this DFA software can also be used by the organisation in the sequential manner(Lawson, Salanitri and Waterfield, 2016). Failure Modes and Effect analysiscan also be used by the organisation as with this reliability issues for the development of the new product can be solved and overcome by the organisation. With the help of this various analysis relating to the issues for the product manufacturing will be known in the effective manner. The major role of the new car will be to use the sensors with the help of artificial intelligence. As by using this analysing the chances of failure of the product in the market will be reduced. ProperControl Plancan also be made by the organisation for maintaining the production quality and for meeting the needs of the customer's in the desirable manner. Since the major objective of the Jaguar is to provide better high quality of cars. So this can be achieved by using this plan in appropriate manner. As by using this the customer's will be satisfied and the sale and profitability of the organisation will also be increased. Through this, customers will get the better and improved features along with the advanced technological tools such as GPS, Sensors etc. Also the company has considered the needs and requirements of the customers while manufacturing the car which will improve the satisfaction and expectations of the customers from the provided product of the company. The company is also using the artificial intelligence technology in their new car for avoiding the accidents and other dangerous situations. The major focus of the company in producing the new car is on the safety and security of the customers who will drive the car. Company is using S.A.F.E. Technique i.e. Self Analysing Functional Emergencytechniqueforstoppingthecarincaseofemergencysuchasheartpain, unconsciousness among the driver. In social considerations, the company is considering the needs and demand of their targetted customers so as to manufacture and provide the car accordingly to the customers(Wang and et. al., 2016).
