INTRODCUTIONOperation management is related to designing and managing the production process.This means it is related to the planning, organising and coordinating the production of goodservices so that desired goals and objective are achieved. The major focus of operationmanagement is to make the best use of the available resources so that the needs and demands ofthe customer's are fulfilled. Operation management tries to manage the logistics and supply chainmanagement in the best possible manner(Becker-Ritterspach and Bruche, 2012). This can bedone by converting the raw materials of the organisation into final product with the motive ofearning profit. Operation management is also related with the using technology, employee's, rawmaterials and resources in the effective manner. In this the production of the goods depends uponthe need and requirements of the potential customer's. Logistics can be defined as the process oforganising the equipment and raw materials in the appropriate manner. This means managing,storing and transporting the goods to the final consumer for the sale. It is very necessary for theoperation and logistics department to function in the coordinated manner so that the plannedobjectives are easily achievable and chances of errors are reduced. Each and every department inthe organisation is inter- related and inter connected with each other so if the logistics andoperation department does not function in the proper manner than the work of other departmentmight also get affected. Jaguar is the biggest automotive organisation of United Kingdom. The company is thesubsidiary of Tata Motors and acquisition of jaguar cars Ltd. In the year 2013 the name of theorganisation changed to Jaguar land rover automotive. The major objective of the organisation isto manufacture, design and sell good quality of vehicle bearing so that the profitability of theorganisation is increased(Benur and Bramwell, 2015). The organisation has approximately 43,224 employee's working in the organisation with the motive of providing high quality and luxuryvehicles to the potential customer's. This report will mainly focus on two major topics which areNew product Development and Logistics Mix. As it is the major issue of the organisation todevelop a new product and introduce it in the market. So in this New Product Development isintroducing the new product in the marker or making some necessary innovations in the existingmarket. The new product in the organisation is launched after analysing the needs and situationof the market because after analysing the market conditions new product will not fail andchances of loss to the company will be reduced.
