INTRODUCTION
Operational management can be described as administration's functions
accountable for handling the process of formulation of product and services. Planning,
organizing, coordinating and controlling are the certain steps involved in producing a
firm's goods and services. By doing resources which are scare in nature are effectively
utilized and best outcomes are achieved. This report is based on Birmingham Children's
Hospital which provide medical health to Adolescent mental children. This company is

1862 (Ayers and Odegaard, 2017). There are three hundred beds facilities in this

quality management tools in the their business functions. Many theories are adopted so
that best results can be attained in the cut throat competitive world. Triple bottom line is

functions that plays a vital role in handling and controlling material in an administration.
This directly or indirectly assist the organization to perform effectively or efficient to
create tough competition for existing rivalry in the global market. However, it is said that
operation management refers to as designing, managing and process of changing raw
material into finished goods. The completed product which is ready for consumption is
accountable to generate competitive advantages against rivalry which is a positive sign
for the company. Whereas, Logistic management is understood as gathering of
resources and materials from beginning to delivering the finished product to the king of
the customers (customers). It plays a significant role in achieving the set objectives of
the company. This act as a helpful and useful tool in order to manage goods and scare
resources of the enterprise. While, supply chain management is defined as movement
of materials and flow of goods is effectively and efficiently managed and controlled by
this department. Here, it covers, executing, designing, planning, monitoring and

controlling of supply chain management activities so as to meet the desire needs and
wants of the customers (Biswas and Sen, 2017).
Birmingham Children's Hospital which is effectively serving it's medicinal services
across the globe. This organization is managed by Birmingham women's and Children's
NHS Foundation Trust. In the year 1862 which firm into existence and are successfully
proving best medical facilities to children and Adolescent Mental Health Service for the
city people. Sir Bruce Keogh is the present chair of this hospital while the chief
executive is sarah- Jane Marsh. This organization is successfully serving best and
modern medicinal treatment and facilities to their patients in order to serve them a better
childhood. There are numerous services offered by Birmingham Children's Hospital
such as, maternity, antenatal care, audiology, midlands hearing implant programmes,
rheumatology, andrology (semen analysis) etc. A team of six thousand staff are
framed so that they can provide best medical treatment to children's, women's and
families.
Birmingham Children's Hospital is effectively using Lean, JIT (Just in Time) and
Agility approaches so as to meet the set standards in the set time frame. This aid the
hospital to quickly delivers effective medical treatment to children as well as high quality
medical facilities are served to the customers so that they can recover early.
Along with hospital is keeping eye on properly managing quality and standards of
the medicines and treatment offered to the patients (Brinch and Jensen, 2017). To gain
competitive advantages against rivalry administration is focusing on production and
operating departments in order to upgrade the quality of the medical facilities. TQM
(Total quality management) is adopted by the firm to determine the quality of medicines.
Managing Quality using TQM (Total Quality Approach)
Total quality management (TQM) term can be explained as it is a management
approach for consumer focused administration which involves all the staff members for
continuous up-graduation in product and services. Birmingham Children's Hospital is
