Main motive behind introducing this service is to make customer satisfy in more effective
manner by providing them after services.
Operation management theory – There are several theories which has been
Implemented by Land Rover within their working as it will help them in managing quality of
their offerings (Fosso Wamba and et.al., 2018). Explanation of these are as follows :-
Six Sigma – It is disciplined, statistical based, data driven approach as well as continuous
improvement methodology which utilise for eliminating defects within products, process or
services. Six sigma approach was introduced in 1980 by Motorola and Bill Smith. This approach

members of Land Rover and ask them to implement these for managing quality when required.

improve all work processes, purpose and people. There are five principles of lean manufacturing
explanation of these are as follows :-
Identify value is first step in lean management which means finding problem which
customer needs solved and making product the solution. Thus, land Rover are offering after sales
services for which customer readily want to pay for as it is valuable (Arunachalam, Kumar and
Kawalek, 2018). Any process or activity which not add value should not include within
offerings.
Value stream mapping is related to the procedure of mapping out workflow of company,
including all actions as well as staff members of Land Rover who will contribute in procedure of
creating and delivering the end product to the consumer. Value stream mapping helps managers
visualize which processes are led by what teams and identify the people responsible for
measuring, evaluating and improving the process. This visualization helps managers determine
which parts of the system do not bring value to the workflow.
Create a continuous workflow make sure that team workflow is going on smoothly as
well as preventing any interruption or bottlenecks which may occur due to cross functional
teamwork (Schönsleben, 2018). Lean management techniques is that which use a visual cue to
trigger action, is utilise to enable easy communication within team so they can easily address
what need to be done as well as when it require to be done. Breaking the total work process into
a collection of smaller parts and visualizing the workflow in this regard facilitates the feasible
removal of process interruptions and roadblocks.
Establish a pull system make sure that continuous workflow will remain stable as well as
guarantees that teams deliver work assignment faster and with less efforts. A pull system is
particular lean technique which decreases waste of any production procedure (Lai, Sun and Ren,
2018). Along with this, it make sure that new work start with its demand only because it result in
advantages of minimising overhead and optimisation of storage cost.
Facilitate continuous improvement is related to various techniques which utilise for
identifying what an organisation gas done as well as what need to be done. Along with, any
possible obstacles that may arise and how all members of the organization can make their work
processes better. The lean management system is neither isolated nor unchanging and, therefore,
problem may occur within any of the other four steps. By making sure that every staff member

Thus, with the assistance of above mention theoretical framework it will be easy for Land
Rove to manage quality of their offerings and serve customers as per requirement. Along with
this, it also help them in bring their after sales monthly car services facility in market.
Critical analytic discussion with relevant and similar examples and applying appropriate solution
of operation management
There are several operation management frame work but for Land Rover Six Sigma and lean
management will be suitable. As they are coming in market with new service that it after sales
monthly car services which will result in increasing their sales as customers want after sales
services more because several issues may occur in car while driving it (Brinch and et. al., 2018).
As similar to this TQM (total quality management) frame work will also beneficial for company
as it provide assistance in managing quality of product along with six sigma and Lean
management. Explanation of this frame work are as follows :-
TQM (total quality management) is continuous procedure of detecting as well as reducing or
eliminating errors within manufacturing, streamlining supply chain management, enhance
experience of customers as well as make sure that staff members are properly trained. Aim of
respective model is to hold all parties involved within this production procedure accountable for
entire quality of final products or services (WHAT IS TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT
(TQM), 2019). A core definition of total quality management (TQM) describes a management
approach to long-term success through customer satisfaction. In a TQM effort, all members of an
organization participate in improving processes, products, services, and the culture in which they
work. There are eight primary elements of TQM explanation of these in relation of Land Rover
are as follows :-
TQM can be summarized as a management system for a customer-focused organization
that involves all employees in continual improvement. It uses strategy, data, and effective
communications to integrate the quality discipline into the culture and activities of the
organization. Many of these concepts are present in modern quality management system the
successor to TQM. Here are eight principles of TQM are as Customer focussed, total employee
involvement; process centred, integrated system, strategic management approach, continual
improvement, fact based decision making and communication. These elements are considered so
time of emerging issues.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
From above discussion it has been summarised that within an organisation operations and
logistic management both play important role as they help in managing daily basis operations in
proper manner. Along with this, for an automotive sector industry it is necessary to manage
quality of their offering as well as they have to come up with some new product or services
within market. Because this is the only way which help them in serving their customers in more
effective manner. For managing quality of offerings there are several approaches related to
operation management, logistics as well as supply management which company have to
implement within their working as it will help in managing quality and reducing defects from
offerings.
After going through entire discussion it has been recommended to Land Rover that they
have to keep focus on after sales service same as before selling services because these are
important. As it result in making customer satisfaction, developing demand for products, gaining
loyal customers and many more. Along with this, they are dealing only in premium and luxury
cars so for increasing sales and gaining competitive advantages it has been recommended for
them to bring some cars which will be in affordance of ever class people. Because it will result in
increasing their sales and generating high revenue. In simple term, through this affordable price
offering demand for Land Rover car will increase at wide level.
