Introduction
Business is an organisation where they manufacture or sell their products and services in
the competitive market in order to profit from it. The world of work is developed in order to
satisfy the desires of organization as well as personal. It is necessary for every person to work in
order to satisfy their livelihood in an effective manner (Atherton and McKay, 2017). Everyone
can survive by working or because of someone else working on their behalf. The report is being
discussed about various factors which motivate employees to work in an organisation and the
positive and negative factors employees experience as a result of their job role in a company.

1. Several factors which motivate employees to work
Motivation
Motivation is the process which helps the one in order to maintain the goal oriented
behaviour within the company. This includes the biological, emotional, social and cognitive
forces which can be helpful in activating the behaviour of the workforce within the organisation.
These factors help in order to motivate why people do something in order to gain something
(Debes, 2018). It also talks about the factors which help the person to determine why such people
are required to do the work.
Types of motivation
Extrinsic Motivation: it is the motivation which arises out of the individual. It includes
trophies, rewards social, recognition and many other things which helps in appraising the
individual.
Intrinsic Motivation: it is the motivation which arises from within the individual. It
includes solving the complicated crossword puzzles so that one can get personal
gratification. These are required in order to reach at the top of the need and is helpful so
that they can begin with the psychological need and progress through safety which helps
them to attend this self-actualization.
Why people are required to motivate
It is necessary to motivate the workforce at the regular period of time as it helps the
organisation in order to enhance their productivity. It is also used in order to gain the common
goal of the organisation in an effective manner. There are several things which must be taken
into consideration by the organisation so that they can motivate Their employees in an effective
manner. Some of them are discussed below:
Create a friendly working environment: it is necessary for every organisation to develop a
friendly working environment as employees used to spend a large amount of time of their
life while working in the office. So it is necessary for them to live in a happy
environment.
Acknowledge employees achievements: everyone wants to be recognised from something
for whatever they have done. It can be both with respect to the work or personal
