INTRODUCTION Communication can be defined as to share ideas, thoughts, views and information to others. In health and social care organisation, the conversation must be appropriate because it is relevant to conduct treatment procedure of patient. This report is based on NHS which provides national health care services to needy people with the help of various associated branches in different countries like England, Wales, Scotland Northern Ireland etc. This assignment will discuss about effective theories and communication skills that are efficient in heal and social care sector (Batterham and et. al., 2016). Various methods and procedure of conversation with legal rules through preparing ways of improvement. It is also helpful to use ICT software packages for rendering better service to desired patients. This report is based on given case about drunk condition Anna and behaviour of student nurse with patients. TASK 1 Covered in Broucher TASK 2 2.1 Communication process is influenced by values and cultural factors There are various kinds of values and cultural factors which are necessary to be considered by making conversation to any person. These elements includes beliefs, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, education, religion, disability, social class and so on. Different types of people have their own values and thoughts according to religion or culture they belongs to. It is important to communicate with patients and their family members as it does harm their emotions or thoughts (Kirkley and et. al., 2011). In case ofstudent nurse, her behaviour with patients is not appropriate as she shouts of people while they asked for bed pan or patient has wet the bed and thrown up on floor. 2.2 Legislation, charters and codes of practice impact on communication process Various legislations and codes of practice that impacts on communication process in healthcareorganisation.Governmentauthoritiesmakeseverallegalrulesornormsor maintainingfactorssuchasequality,diversity,discrimination,confidentialityinsharing information etc. It is important to treat every patient in same manner through fact of equality between individual and avoid partial behaviour due to different gender, age, social class and so on. In case of health care medical professionals have to maintain records for each and every patient for their disease along with reports of several tests such as MRI, CT Scan, EEG, ECG, Blood test, Sonography and many more. In the given scenario the behaviour of student nurse is not correct then it is mandatory to build some of effective practices or policies which are compulsory to be followed by staff members while treating any patient. 2.4 Ways of improving the communication process Several good practices and are essential to make effective communicating procedure which is helpful in conveying important information to desired person. They have to build certain policies and service standards by improving conversation between staff members. Various factors should be applied in heal care organisation such as ethics, values, ensuring dignity and rights of people while providing treatment to them (Joseph and et. al., 2011). It is necessary to take of data protection relevant to an individual. Several rules related to ethics and cultural values of people that must be followed by employees to communicate properly with them while rendering support to them for sort out problem of disease. TASK 3 Covered in Poster CONCLUSION The above report had concluded that in health andsocial care organisation, the conversation must be appropriate because it is relevant to conduct treatment procedure of patient. Communication must be accurate in health and social care because treatment is based on effectiveandcorrectinformationsharedbetweenmedicalprofessionalsworkinginan organisation. Different types of people have particular communication requirements as per their ability of understanding and comfortability. There are various kinds of values and cultural factors 2
which are necessary to be considered by making conversation to any person. Several good practices and are essential to make effective communicating procedure which is helpful in conveying important information to desired person. 3
