INTRODUCTIONOperational management of an enterprises conduct various function such ascontrolling and designing the whole process of production (Allen and et.al, 2014). It is apart of administration business practice that create the highest level of efficiency withinan organization. This process includes inventory control, production planning, supplychain collaboration, quality management and demand forecasting. All parts of procedurehelp to making continuous improvement in organisational system through which betterresults can be occurred. Present case study has been based on, Hotpoint Company is an American andEuropean brand of domestic appliances. It is engaged with marketing, selling andmanufacturing of electric cars, cookers, washing machines, fridge and freezers. Nowcompany is planning to enter in Large Screens TV Manufacturing sector. The presentreport includes implementation of operation management, preparation of a continuousimprovement plan and application of each stage of PLC. In addition to this,effectiveness of PLC in order to its application in present report have also been done. This learner has been appointed as a Manager Research and New ProductDevelopment for the large TV screens project.ACTIVITY 1P1 Conduct a review and critique of the implementation of operation managementprinciplesOperationsOperations are the business activities which is related to particular firm's process.In this process convert materials into finished products and services, sell them tocustomers and earn a profit.Operation management refers to area of management which obsessed withdesigning and controlling of production and redesigning procedure. Along with this itincludes and concern with changing and converting raw material into finished goods andservices which is effective and help organisation in maximizing profit. After then managers take meetings andconferences of all sections on daily basis and discuss about the new project. Eachsection systematically express information related to strategies and also about the newproject. It is the main responsibility of operational mangers to apply strategies in properway and communicate on work place with employees. The manager motivates andsupport to employees for acquire new objectives and desired goals (Botchkarev andFinnigan, 2014). In the section of Hotpoint, which is mainly deal in the selling and distribution ofelectric cookers, refrigerators, washing machines, juicer and various home appliances.In present time company want to expand their business and increase portability in newmarket of TV sector. It provides competitive advantage and increases consumer base.The company has decided to launch large screen television of 58 inches. Theformulating process are conducted by operation manager in effective way and takingbenefits through business strategies and measures which are mention below - Principles of operational management - Reality – The manager of operation department is analysed present situation ofmarket place regarding to their products which are already going on. After thendetermine the area where problem origin is and how it is affected to profitability of thecompany. The manager of Hotpoint acquires this principle to know actual informationand deal with each issue with the help of appropriate strategies. Organization – It is important principle of every business because it presentsbusiness activities in systematic way. So, it is helping to accomplish their targeted goalsand objectives in effective and good range of profitability. In the broadly terms, inHotpoint each and every section are interrelated for conduct various businessstrategies. It is better for a company to work in efficient manner to achieve desiredtargets. 4

They are not focusing their weakness and HRmanagers are required to motivate them and evaluate their part of work. In electrical business,customers looked out to attractive and discount offers on particular products which arepurchase on affordable prices. Thus, Hotpoint Company announced coupons anddiscounted offer time to time for attract more customers and maintain relation with themfor long time. Taylor's theory of scientific management – The scientific management theoryis well known for the application of engineering science at production floor or theoperating levels. This theory focused on improving efficiency of each individual in theorganisation. There is mainly include performance of work related to production floorand it is different from other task which is related to Hotpoint. Application - It is not hard to acknowledge with in the modern-day workplace. These methods have become so common in modern world that one cannotimaging calling them revolutionary only 100 years ago.Flexible Specialisation –In present time every organisation applyingcompetitive strategy. There is every firm use different types of equipment, every type ofskilled employees and innovative executives for changing market place very quickly andalso in business environment. Lean Production – It is an approach of management which is focused on cuttingout waste, whilst ensuring quality. This approach can be applied on all feature of abusiness from design, through production to distribution.
