Talent management is consider as key component of organisation and this is helpful in
conducting task in effective manner (Deery. and Jago, 2015). This aim at motivating employees
as well as engaging them to business activities for developing better relationship. This research
report is based on Holiday Inn company. This is one of the established and well known
organisation in hospitality sector. Holiday Inn is a British owned company that is developed in
1951. It is a multinational company and providing its products and services to large market areas
(IHG, 2020). This company is providing services as per needs and wants of customers as well as
providing luxury service to meet with their needs and wants. Holiday Inn is a subsidiary of Inter
Continental group of hotel. In report includes the contribution of line manager in managing
talented employees as well as organisational development. It includes different method of data
collection that will help in company to enhance its services in hospitality industry.

1. What is the concept of talent management at workplace.
As per the view of Susan M. Heathfield, (2019) talent management refers as the process
in which organisation is focusing on managing highly skilled employee. Talent management
concept is related to organisational functions such as recruiting, hiring as well as retaining
employees for longer time frame (Horner, 2017). This management activities are developed for
managing employees appropriately as well as retaining them with in organisation. This function
of Human resource management focuses on developing quality of employee’s work and
managing them in appropriate manner. Talent management is considering as very useful term
that is focusing on enhancing employees capability in order to conduct business task and
activities in better and effective manner. This will help organisation to perform business
activities in successful manner as well as creating strong workforce within organisation. Talent
management is one of the essential function of organisation that is completely dedicated to talent
management planning and strategy development to attaining set of goals and objectives. It has
been determined that talent management strategies ensure that organisation and its employees
will be able to grab future opportunity. This will lead to have impact over growth and
development of company. By managing talented employees in effective way, organisation will
be able to attract highly skills and capable employees with in organisation.
Talent management can be defining as the strategic process on boarding right or talented
employees as well as helping them to develop and grow capabilities of staff member (Chung and
D’Annunzio-Green,2018). This will support in optimum utilisation of organisational resources

their performance. There are different ways that could be used by leader and manager to

important role in managing business operation as well as supervising all task. This will lead to
have direct impact on performance of employees and their well beings. Line manager is using
their full capabilities and skills to manage talented employees of organisation in order to meet
with the talent gap of company. They are responsible to managing daily task in as well as
focusing on employees needs or requirements. This will help in conducting task in appropriate
manner as well as developing strong relationship with employees. Providing training Training of employees is helpful in improving skills and
capabilities. It is crucial role of line manager to provide training to its employees so that
they can focus on their work as well as conduct it in effective manner. Training is
important in motivating employees well as focusing on improving the capabilities of
employees. Communicating – Line manager is communicating with its employees as well as
focusing in directing employees in appropriate manner (Mathew, 2015). Communication

journals, business report etc. It is very easy for researcher to collect information to
through secondary methods. Secondary data is available in different sources so it will be
beneficial for researcher to collect and gather data. This is less costly as well as less time
consuming method that will be beneficial for researcher. It has been identified that
investigator will not be able to provide accurate information as secondary method will
not provide appropriate data for conducting research.

The research methods used in the study are effective to draw desirable outcomes. It
helped me to gather necessary information about the study and to collect relevant data to conduct
the study in an effective way. I have used Quantitative research methodology in the study. It
helped me to make the study more reliable and objective wise. It brings accuracy in my results
and help to draw out meaningful information from the data I have collected through 50
respondents so that main objective of the study can be fulfilled properly.
RECOMMENDATIONS
From the study, it can be analysed that there are number of recommendations that could
be adapted by Holiday Inn organisation to manage talent in their business in an effective way. It
has been recommanded that respective organisation should design clear and to the point job
descriptions in order to know the abilities, skills, experience required from a new candidate. It
has been recommanded that respective organisation should design recognition as well as
compensation system to reward employees for their contributions.

There are number of research methodologies that can be utilized in the study. Other
methods that could be used for collecting crucial information is though interview. It is an
effective method for gathering data from individuals by asking certain questions that are related
to the research study. It helps to measure the attitudes, behaviours, preferences as well as
intension of large number of interviewee. The method was not used in the study because it is
relatively time consuming and cost consuming method which is not possible to consider. A
random sampling method can be used in the study for selection of individuals. In this method
each individual has equal probability of getting selected. It is an unbiased method of selecting
individual.
Lessons learned from the outcome is that questionnaire method which is used for
collecting data was quite appropriate as it brings accuracy in results and it is relatively cheaper
and quicker method which is beneficial for the study. As well as random sampling method is
most accurate method because it doesn't consist of any kind of discrimination between
individuals and easiest method to select respondents for the study.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that, talent management plays a vital role in
managing crucial resources and employees of organisation. Talent management is significant for
improving the quality of services offered by hospitality industry. It basically help in enhancing
the performance and productivity of employees in order to achieve set goals. It help to facilitate
operations an management of organisation sin hospitality industry in a smooth way as expertise
and talent in organisations will help to eliminate number of risks in the organisation and to
enhance profitability.
