INTRODUCTION
Every organization need to be more concerned about their marketing activities so that
they can easily boost their performance level and establish influential brand image globally.
Marketing concepts mainly considered as an activity which can undertake to advertise and
promote the buying and selling of goods and services. Through specific marketing techniques
and trends whether it is present or future trends , organization can easily spread some awareness
about their new product and services and also improve the marketing of existing products. For
this report Morrison’s organization is considered which is established in 1899 and headquarter
situated in Branford, UK. This is most famous British multinational retailer organization which
contains supermarkets and Store. The main purpose of this report is to identify the key roles and
responsibility of the marketing function and determine the interrelationship between marketing
and other department of the organization. Moreover, also compare and identify the various
marketing mix process off to organization. Lastly, this report reduces the marketing plan.

P1 Explain the key roles and responsibilities of the marketing function.
Marketing Concepts
Marketing is containing as a tool and techniques which can help to boost the performance
level of the Organization. Basically market concepts are categorized into five crucial parts which
mainly depicts the core value of the marketing in context of Morrison's. The explanation of all
these five Concepts are given below -
Production Concept - The main motive of this concept is to pay more attention on the
preference and perception of the customers, which can help to identify the exact
requirements of the customers so that Morrison's can do some changes in products and
increase in the production level (Akbar and et. al., 2017). Product Concept - Customers mainly prefer those products which contain good quality
with pocket friendly price. Customers are profit oriented so they can be retaining those
products & services which provide benefits to them.

Selling Concept - Sells of the products & services required a specific marketing and
promotion which can help to attract the customers and give positive impact on their mind.
With the help of promotion and advertising techniques, Organizations can effectively
boost the selling.
Marketing Concepts - The main concern of this concept is on target customers in term of
delivery of products & services. As per the competitive market, Organizations require to
deliver the high quality of products & services so that brand value of the organization can
increase.
Social Marketing Concept - This concept mainly focus on the priority and need of the
targeted customers so that Organizations can provide them at low cost with high quality
which can help to gain more customers satisfaction and customers will prefer our
products rather than others brand. Through social media marketing, Organizations can
effectively provide the awareness about their products and specific offers and discounts
which can help to boost the marking of the organization (Al Badi, 2019).

As per the current scenario , marketing situation is changing continuously so it is essential
to concentrate on the current and future marketing trends which can help to identify the various
opportunities so Morrison's can easily maintain their operations and performance.

the marketing. Promotion and advertising done by the various technologies such as Face
book, Instagram , Twitter and many more help to improve the Marketing through
Internet.
Content Marketing - This marketing mainly contain creating, relevant value, distribution
of consistent which help to take profitability actions. Morrison's need to pay more
attention on content Strategies which can improve the customers engagement on the
online media through publishing effective content on the website and other platforms.
